Chapter Twenty-Seven

Ethan had not said a word since I told him how I felt. Which was a few seconds ago. I thought I might have ruined the moment.

As soon as I said the words I hid my face on his chest. He finally grabbed my shoulders and looked at me. He looked angry. Why was he angry? Didn't he feel the same way?

"I wanted to be the first one to confess my undying love." He whined and I let go of the breath I was holding and hit his shoulder.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." I said honestly but he only laughed.

"So you love me that much, huh?" He grinned.

"You have no idea." I sighed resting my head on his chest.

If anyone told me I would have been cuddling with Ethan Saunders a month ago I would have laughed at them but somehow I have grown to love him, I don't think I could even live without him, now.

"I bet I love you more than you love me." He said with a cocky grin and I hit his shoulder.

"Nuh-uh." I said childishly crossing my arms.

"Yes." He laughed poking my nose.

"Nuh-uh." I shook my head.

"Then I'll prove it." He grinned.

"How?" I asked and he shrugged.

"You'll see." He said kissing my forehead.

I smiled looking at him thinking of how I got so lucky. As I was staring at him with affection his phone rang from his back pocket. He apologized grabbing his phone and answering it without looking at the caller ID.

"Mom?" He asked. "Yeah, I know it's late... I'm with my boyfriend...Oh my God, Mom, I am not going to talk about my sex life with you...Yes, mom, we are not...Fine! I'm coming...Calm down would you." He said then hang up the call.

I stood and took a sit on the sofa. I was way too embarrassed to even look at him. I took the burger and bit it down as he chuckled looking at me.

"My mom...she says hi." He smirked.

I nodded biting another piece of the burger. He stood and I did too. I walked him out and he turned to me with a big goofy smile. His mood had completely changed from when he came in and honestly mine had changed too. I smiled back at him giving him a light kiss on the cheek which he totally discarded as he kissed my lips.

I obviously kissed him back  wrapping my arms around his neck. As much as I enjoyed the kiss, I knew it should stop. I did not want to be that boyfriend that made his partner late just because of a hot makeout section.

So I slowly let go of him.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I said to him.

"I'll pick you up... good night, Baby."

"Goodnight, Ethan." I whispered and he smiled and left.

I fell asleep on the couch and was awaken by my alarm. I always set my alarm to be on repeat so I would never have to set it everyday. What can I say I plan ahead but today was one of those days I wish I did not plan ahead.

After getting ready, I took a burger from the microwave and headed out after locking my apartment. When I got to the parking lot, I was surprised to see Sandy in front of Ethan's car.

"Hey, San--"

"I'm so so sorry freaking sorry. I missed your call...I swear I literally saw it today." She said before I could finish my greetings.

I stood there eating my burger as I waited for her to finish her blabbering about how she had lost her phone and only found it under the pillow this morning. I honestly forgot I called her until now.
