School went on great although I kept getting stared at and gossiped about, but it was okay. When it was afterschool I waited for Noah next to his car chatting with Sandy.
"What's your middle name?" Sandy asked.
"I don't have one, what about you?"
"Guess" she grinned.
And I said the first thing on my mind.
"Squirrel?" I shrugged.
"Are you comparing me to a SpongeBob SquarePants character?" She glared at me. "Because if you are then you're incorrect Sandy the squirrel in SpongeBob SquarePants, her middle name is Jennifer and her last name is cheeks"
I'm not even going to ask how she knew that.
"Okay" I said trying not to laugh.
"Ethan is a bad influence on you" she shook her heard at me.
"Hey stop spreading lies about me" I heard Ethan say.
He walked towards us with Noah by his side.
"They are not lies if they are true"
"Haha, I get it" Noah laughed and I rolled my eyes at him.
"I'm going to be late if we don't go now, So was there anything you wanted to tell me Ethan?" I asked.
"Actually Saunders is going to give you the ride" I heard Noah say.
"Why? Not that I mind but why?"
"I have a doctor's appointment"
"But you never go to the doctor without me, you fear hospitals" I said as I ached my brows.
"No, I don't..." he chuckled nervously. "Actually I am not going to the doctor, mom needs help with something"
He was lying but Why? He never lies to me.
"Okay" I let it go, I knew I going to get an answer from him sooner or later plus I was late.
"Bye, William and Sandy, Ethan let's go" I said then I made my way to Ethan's car.
He started driving us to the diner.
"We are going to be late if you don't speed up" I said.
"Aye aye captain"
The car went so fast I think I saw my life flash by. We got to the diner with five minutes to spare.
"Thanks" I said opening the car door.
"Wait..." he closed the door.
"We need to talk" he said.
"About?"
"Me and you, us"
"Huh?"
"Give me something to work with" he whined.
"Huh?"
"Kiss me" he said and my face instantly went pink.
"Ethan, I need to go to work"
"You gave me your promise"
Oh no.
"What?" I looked at him.
"Promise me we'll talk about this?"
"Okay" I nod then get out of the car.
I got to the diner and changed into my uniform.
"Hey Stat" Brad said as I passed the counter.
"Hey" I replied.
