Rory and I burst through the doors, and I saw both Luke and Lilan jump where they were sitting. "What the heck was that all about?'" Luke questioned, straightening himself in the chair.
Rory rushed in without answering and headed toward his room, while I explained to the twins, "There are agents here. We gotta move before they catch up. Luke, do you have another place where we can go?"
Luke stood up from where he was sitting, and threw his hands into the air before saying, "Of course, I always have a plan B. Come on, Lil. Let's go get our things packed." He then grabbed her wrist and pulled her to her feet before they disappeared around the corner. At least I wasn't given a death glare by Lilian.

An hour later....
I was reading a book, as Rory followed close behind Luke's truck. "I think Lilian's starting to trust us a little more." I mentioned, keeping my eye focused on the page I was currently reading.
"Yeah, I just hope it stays that way." I heard Rory answer. I flipped the page of the book, and gave out a sigh before the car was filled with a deep silence.
I then felt my phone buzz in my pocket, and I closed my book to fish it out. I looked at the screen and saw that I had gotten a message from Luke. "I just got a message from Luke. He says 'We're almost there, but I think someone is following us. Go straight at the intersection, Lilian and I will go right. You know the address, so we'll meet up at the safe house.'" I informed Rory.
I looked over at him, and saw him nod his head. "Alright, we've been following his instructions for this long." he scoffed, as we watched Rory's truck turn left at the intersection. After putting my phone back into my pocket, I glanced over at the side mirror, and frowned when I saw a truck following us. This seems familiar. It looks like Cree got his truck up in running again.
"Cree's truck is following us." I informed Rory. "How do you know it's Cree's truck?" he asked, glancing at the rear-view mirror.
I kept my eyes focused and narrowed on the side mirror, as I answered, "He did something similar back in Princeton. I only got away because the gas tank had been "accidentally" emptied." I continued to leave Carlos out of all this, but most of what I told Rory was true, so I didn't feel guilty about what I had said.
Rory stopped at the intersection like he was supposed to, and continued to follow Luke's instructions by going straight when the road was clear. I watched the rear-view mirror; the truck stopped at the intersection, and I could see the driver was trying to determine if he should go after Luke and Lilian, or go after us. Whoever the driver was shook his head, and went left. That's not what I had expected.
"What happened, Zyl?" Rory questioned. I straightened myself in the seat with a confused look plastered on my face. "He, uh, just turned left and stopped following us." I explained, hurting my brain the process. Why would one of the cadets stop following us?
"Is that a good sign or bad sign?" he asked. I shrugged, and kept on contemplating what had happened the rest of the way to the safe house.
