Luke's point of view

I was unpacking my bag, while Lilian kept pacing the floor. I glanced up at her, and chuckled, "Lilian, you're pacing like the apocalypse started." She froze, knowing I hated the sound of people pacing back and forth, and shrugged her shoulders.

"Rory and Zylina aren't here yet, and I'm just a little worried." She told me, sticking the tip of her nail on her lip.

I stood from the bed, and smirked. "Wait, wait, wait. You're worried about Zylina, and Rory? Who are you, and what have you done with my sister?" I teased. Lilian lifted her hands in a surrender gesture, before letting them fall back at her side and replying, "I thought of what you told me, and I guess I should trust them a little more."

I patted the top of Lilian's head, and said with a continued smirk, "Thank you, that will make things a lot easier." In response, Lilian shoved my hand away and smacked it, while pretending to be mad, but I could see a smile creeping on her face.

We perked up when we heard the door open, and peeked around the wall. "Hey," Zylina called out, dropping her duffel bag on the floor. "You guys lose the person following you?" Lilian asked.

"Uh, I think so. He went the opposite direction, so I'm pretty sure we're in the clear." Zylina answered. "Good, let's get settled in then. After we're done unpacking I'll buy us lunch since we kind of left the food at our old place." I said.

???'s Point of View

"I can't believe we let them get away." I growled. I looked at the kid next to me, and slapped his arm when I saw him looking out the window. "Josiah, you listening?"

He perked up, and glanced at me. "Yeah, yeah. Sorry." he stuttered. I frowned and pointed my finger at him. "This is your second chance after your failure back in Findlay. The Boss may not be as forgiving if you bobble up this one too." I scolded him.

Josiah quickly nodded, and said, "I know, sir." Pathetic, I can't believe the Boss partnered me up with this weakling. Why did we even take him in in the first place?

I faced forward once again, and gripped the steering wheel. "We need to trap these kids." I mumbled. "Hm?" Josiah asked.

"Can I see that list the Boss gave you?" I asked. He blinked in confusion at me, which made me want to strangle the kid, but he eventually figured out what I was talking about and fished out the chip that held the list of recruit names.

I pulled out my phone and connected the chip to it. The list came up on the screen and I saw that there was a 3-year old boy who needed to be picked up here in Boston. How Ironic.

I opened the driver's seat door and stepped out of the car, giving no explanation to Josiah. I dialed a number before pressing the device on my ear, listening to the rings.

"What is it, Archer? I'm a little busy at the moment." I heard the Boss exclaim. "Sir, I was looking through my copy of the list, and I was wondering which cadets you were sending and when to pick up the child here in Boston." I answered.

"I was going to send a couple of newbies to pick him up, though it is risky doing that while under our current circumstances." The Boss replied. "Well, I'm in Boston right now with Josiah. I have been tracking Rory and Agent Z like you asked, but I think I can make that errand." I explained to him.

"Permission denied. We need you to stay on those kids' trails." he ordered. I mentally sighed in frustration, and said, "Sir, we can use this errand to our advantage. If we can lure Rory and Zylina out, we can possibly catch them, and this time we'll be ready when they come for the brat."

There was a beat of silence; the Boss was probably thinking it over. "Alright Archer, permission granted, but this plan of yours better work or I'll have to take this into my own hands, are we clear?" he finally answered.

I silently gulped down my fear, and choked out, "Yes Sir." There was a faint click on the other side of the line, and I stuffed my phone back into my pocket before getting back into the driver's seat.

I turned to Josiah, and told him with a smirk, "I think I just found you an actual second chance, kid."
