"How can you be so calm by the fact that Lilian nearly blew your brains out?" Rory exclaimed, as he sped down the road; it didn't take us long to get out of town, and we were riding the country roads now.

I didn't look away from the window as I answered, "She just witnessed the death of her parents, Rory. That plus being mixed up in this kind of crap is going to mess a person up."

Rory didn't answer me but I did hear him let out a deep sigh that had a slight growl to it. I finally turned my gaze from the window, and studied him; Rory's anger was clear with the scowl on his face, and his now white knuckles.

"I don't think Lilian was going to shoot me." I said before I even thought about it.

"Then why did she have you at the end of a barrel? If Luke hadn't stepped in you would have been..." Rory's voice trailed off, and I watched as his hands clutched the wheel tighter causing his knuckles to be drained of even more color.

"Lilian had multiple chances to end my life before Luke came in, and she didn't. She listened to what I had to say; me attacking her is what convinced Lilian that I was against her." I explained to him, truthfully.

"She still shouldn't have attacked you like that." Rory muttered; I could tell it was supposed to be under his breath, but I heard it anyway.

I turned back to gaze out the window, but felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I fished it out, and stared at the caller ID as it continued to vibrate in my hand.

"Who is it?" Rory asked, giving me a quick glance. I glanced back at him and answered with one word, "Luke."

I pressed the accept button and put the device on my ear before saying, "Luke, what's up?"

"Agent Z, you should have thought twice before leaving your home behind." A voice that wasn't Luke's sounded on the other-side, and every muscle in my body tensed as I processed the voice that had spoken.

"W...who are you?" I stuttered; out of the corner of my eye I saw Rory give me a confused, but nervous, glance.

"You don't recognize the voice of your old teacher? C'mon, Zylina, we both know you're smarter than that." the voice said. That's when it hit me, and I knew who this man was.

I averted my eyes to Rory, who was returning my gaze, as I muttered, "A...Archer?" Rory's eyes went wide, and he pulled the car over onto the side of the road.

Rory's Point of View

Hold on, did Zylina just say Archer, like our old mentor? I swerved the car over to the side of the road, and looked over at Zylina, desperate to learn what was going on.

There was a bit of silence, but I could vaguely hear someone speaking on the other side of the device, and whatever they were saying was making Zylina's hands shake and tremble.

"Zylina, what is he saying?" I tried asking. The only response I got was an anxious glance from her, which made me even more nervous than I already was.

Zylina let out a sigh, and muttered, "Where?" Another pause passed between us, before she took the phone off her ear, and gazed down at it.

She looked over at me, and said, "Academy cadets attacked Luke and Lilian; Archer is leading them." Zylina didn't have to explain further; in the span of a few moments, we were back on the road speeding back toward the city.

Archer's Point of View

I snapped the phone in half with my bare hands, and gave out a chuckle as I dropped the pieces to the floor and watched them scatter across the wood.

"They'll figure out it's a trap." I turned around, and faced my two hostages; Luke and Lilian.

The boy was staring daggers through the nasty black eye one of the agents had given him, and he was snarling with his busted lip that was dripping blood down his chin.

However, his twin was the exact opposite; she trembled with fear and wouldn't look me in the eyes. I wonder why.

I walked over to Lilian, but before I was able to do anything, Luke shouted, "You better keep your hands off of her, you hear me?!"

I glance over at Luke, who's struggling against the ropes binding him to the chair. I walked over to him, and smirked before saying, "Who's going to stop me, you? Sorry, son, you're not in a position to order anything."

Luke was unfazed with my comment, and stared directly at me with defiant eyes. Still smirking, I decided to punish the boy's defiance, and I let my fist fly and connect with Luke's jaw, causing his head to snap to the side and him letting out a yelp and a groan.

I shook my fist, satisfied with the punch, and I gestured to the agents. "You gag these two, and the rest of you get into your position. The traitors should be here in about ten minutes." I told them.

As the cadets moved to different parts of the house, another agent came sprinting into the room, halted in front of me and saluted. "Sir, he's coming."

Another smirk came over me, and said, "Get the place ready for the Boss's arrival."
