Hinata

Hinata had NOT expected Y/n to find his rival cute, let alone be mad when he brought it up. Like, how does she maintain such intense eye contact 1 inch away from someone's face? Even Scaryyama was scared. At least she apologised after. He glanced at a disheveled Y/n who was mumbling something about coffee addiction and her coming to practice. It was the second day she came for morning practice and anyone could tell she's not a morning person. Hinata was really grateful she still showed up to help.

Wait... Kageyama is really scary, probably the scariest thing ever. So if Kageyama is scared of Y/n...' A chill went down his spine. She is boss level scary. Hinata made a mental note to never get on her bad side

"Let's take a break guys!" Y/n called out. He pulled Y/n over to a corner. "Do you hate Kageyama?" he fidgeted.

"I dislike him." An instant reply. "But did you really said he was cute?" he prodded further, trying to get some tea out of her. She gave him a long look, her eyes flickered before she sighed," Yes but there's no feelings attached." Hinata sensed something was up but he decided not to pry so changing the topic it is. "So why do you dislike him?"

"He was mean to you. I know what he said back then was in the past but it really shows how bad a character he was. He didn't even apologize when he saw you on the first day of school," she countered.  Hinata tried to defend his teammate, "He's changing you know. He's saying "we" instead of "I" now. Plus, I'm improving a lot thanks to him too."

Kageyama may be mean but somehow, it's actually kind of stimulating. Kageyama's energy and passion for volleyball rivals his own and he really does enjoy challenging him. He's also completely over what he's said in the past and the first day of school.

"Don't worry, if he's bullying you just tell me okay?" she patted his head and walked away towards the net. " W-wait! He didn't- no, I mean changed- I mean he..." Hinata outstretched his arm to Y/n who was already out of hearing range. "He's not bullying meeee," he whined.

"Oi Hinata, let's practice your receives." Kageyama called out to him. That was the most decent tone I've heard coming out of his mouth. Hinata glanced over at Sugawara -san, his face indicated that he was thinking the same. " Sure."

As he and Kageyama spiked and received the volleyball back and forth, they listened to the rest talking.

"Y/n, do you play volleyball?" Tanaka asked her. "Yea, just a little. Asahi taught me the basics and I played a little with my friends in middle school. Mostly self taught though."

" So did you come up with training regimens after you started playing yourself?" Sugawara asked.

" Well initially I made them after seeing how the exercises affects my performance in volleyball. Then I upped the reps and sets according to my brother's fitness. But since my body and his is too different, I decided to see what exercises he does that works. "

" So you asked what exercises he did?"

"Nope, he's just my lab rat for testing out which training programs works," you grinned. Suga and Tanaka sweat dropped.

" I watched videos of professionals training too. Then researched what muscles are needed for volleyball and came up with training specifically targeting them while ensuring that the improvements help specifically for the sport. I also help look after his nutrition too. Ain't wanna buff my brother up the wrong way."

Safe to say, everyone else were impressed. Hinata felt proud for having a friend like her. She's amazing and cool. " I didn't know you put that much effort into them," Tanaka scratched his head. " Well, since the regimens are personalised I have to, since everyone's body is different. I enjoy gathering data too anyways so it's not a bore," Y/n replied.
