CHAPTER NINE

❝ I am an all supreme deity, don't push it! ❞
Once Meliodas and Ryoko returned to the tavern, the redhead took notice of how busy the tavern was, drunk and sober customers were everywhere as the sins served them. Ryoko made her way upstairs not wanting to deal or be bothered by the humans.
Ryoko walked into the room that was currently hers for the time being and closed the door. From there she walked over towards the open window and gazed outside to stare up at the dark but beautiful sky.
A small weight was placed on her shoulder causing her to smile as she raised her hand up to place it on her dragon's head. "Hello to you too Igneel." She softly said as she rubbed his head, Igneel let out a small puff of hot air through his nose as he nudged her hand back with his head.
<The human who made a deal with you...I don't like him.>
"Oh Igneel, you don't like any humans." Ryoko chuckled after hearing what the dragon had said into their spiritual bond.
<Tch.... If he tries anything I don't like I'll kill him.>
"Igneel I appreciate your protective nature over me but remember I am the Dragon Empress for a reason okay? And besides I can fend on my own even if Ban tries anything." She told him as she caressed his scaly skin. Igneel let out a small puff of hot air through his nose as he closed his eyes simply enjoying the nice touch of his empress.
Ryoko watched and felt how her dragon began to drift off to sleep which brought a small smile on her face before she moved over to the bed and laid down. She decided to go to sleep as well since she knew it'll be a while before the tavern cleared out.
"Sleep tight Igneel.." Ryoko whispered as she closed her eyes and started to let sleep take over her mind and body.

The bright sunlight that arisen due to the early morning had awoken Ryoko up from her slumber. "Mhm..." Sitting up from the bed Ryoko yawned as she stretched her arms.
"Ah, it's morning already." She said as she got out the bed and took notice that tavern was currently moving. Ryoko left the room she was residing in and walked towards where she sensed two presences on the balcony.
"Morning Lady Ryoko." Meliodas greeted as he and Merlin turned to her after sensing her presence was upon them. "Good morning to you too and you too Merlin." Ryoko greeted back as she walked over the edge of the balcony and leaned on the wooden ledge.
"So, would you mind telling me more about this mission or mostly about how this has to do with my people?" Ryoko questioned as she crossed her arms over her chest, her brown eyes looking at Meliodas with a firm glare.
"Well, according to Baltra's vision.." Meliodas started to explain what Ryoko wanted to hear as the continue to make their way to their destination.

"Welcome to Pillars Village!"
Ryoko and a couple of the sins had made it to their destination which was large but lively village. People went on about their day as they walked through the busy streets of the village.
She along with Ban, Meliodas, and Merlin decided to check out the town for any information and resources while Diane, King, Gowther, and Escanor took care of the tavern for if any of the villagers came in for a drink or food.
"According to Baltra's vision, the problem starts here. He wants us to capture some guy or girl who can use fire magic." Meliodas explained as his emerald eyes were trained on what was ahead.
"So let's split up, Merlin and I will go to the mayor and ask questions, while you and Lady Ryoko ask around and look for this mystery person. Alright?"
"Yes captain/ Cap'n!" Both and Merlin saluted to their blonde hair caption before the group of four split up to do their task that was given to them.
'The hell... why did that feel like fire from...home..?' Ryoko paid no mind to Meliodas' order as she simply walked along the streets before her eyes flashed red before going back to brown. She narrowed her eyes as she stopped walking and turned her head to where she felt the fire come from.
"Ban, I felt something. Come with me." Ryoko quickly grabbed Ban's hand and dragged him with her towards a shady looking alleyway. Ban didn't say anything as he shoved his other hand in his leather pants and let the red haired woman drag him, seemingly finding comfort in how soft her hand felt against his.
"What is this?" Ban muttered as he and Ryoko came across this run down shady cottage after they made their way through a long but narrow and dark alleyway. They stared at the cottage wary of its appearance before Ryoko walked forward with her eyes narrowed.
"Let's go Ban. This cottage is somehow emitting something dangerous." Ryoko instructed before walking inside, the door creaking as it was opened and upon entrance Ryoko scrunched up her nose from the stretch.
"What the hell died in here?" Ban grumbled as he scrunched up his nose as well and walked more into the small house, the floorboards creaking due to the wood being old. Ryoko and Ban ventured more in the cottage finding nothing significant until they reached a room that emitted a horrible stench.
"My... a massacre went on in here.." Ryoko muttered as she trailed her eyes over the room, seeing old dried blood everywhere, on the walls, floorboard and anything else that was in the room. Walking more in the room Ryoko froze as her eyes immediately turned red and glowed brightly.
"Why'd you stop?" Ban asked before a serious expression took ahold of his face once Ryoko turned to him with angry red glowing eyes and snarled at him while clenching her fists.
"What's wrong—?!"
"I am an all supreme deity, don't push it!"
She yelled cutting him off but as he stared at her form he noticed that even though her eyes were looking at him they weren't like as if there was something else. Ban realized that she was staring and yelling at something else... that something else being behind him...
