CHAPTER TWELVE

◣◥◤◢◣ ◥◤◆◥◤◢◣◥◤◢

I will not grant your wish.

Ryoko appeared in a clearing of red flowers, snap dragons to be precise. She sat down and stared at the rows of flowers that seemed to be endless as she thought about what happened.

It was strange and frustrating to her that the boy she fought, his firepower felt like her home and the fact that he knew of the fate her people suffered from. She wanted to also know about who his master was and how did his master also know about her people.

As her anger started to dissipate, she thought about Ban and Meliodas and she scowled at the fact that the two sins were in her way from successfully killing that boy.

"Igneel."

<Yes?>

"Did Ban truly disobey me?" She asked, her fingertips touching the smooth petals of the red flowers, their beautiful aura and looks calming her down.

<Siding with his captain is disobedience, my empress.>

Ryoko sighed, looking up at the sky to see the sun was setting. The sky being filled with the colors of red and orange and in a way, the sunset reminded her of her home.

"Igneel, come out and watch the sky with me. Once it fully sets and the night comes along we'll leave." Ryoko ordered and not a second later, she felt her dragon appear, wrapping himself around her body. Igneel laid his head on his empress' shoulders, his crimson eyes staring up at the sky.

<We'll stay here as long as you'll like my empress.>

🐉

Ban who was now in the tavern with his teammates, sat at one of the tables with furrowed brows and a scowl on his handsome face. He wondered where the hell Ryoko disappeared off too and it frustrated him that he didn't know where she was.

A very small part of him was worried about her which was something he didn't want to admit but for the small time he'd known her, she seemed to make him care for her. Maybe it was out a respect or maybe it's because she's the only way, he'll get Elaine back. He didn't know and he didn't care.

"Ban, are you sure you alright? If you want us to help you look for her, we can."

Ban looked up and saw that Meliodas was standing in front of the table he was sitting at with a small frown on his face. "I'm fine Cap'n and no we're not looking for her. I'm goin' to bed." Ban stood up from his seat and walked past Meliodas towards the stairs.

Meliodas quietly watched the taller male walk up the stairs towards where the rooms were resided at and sighed when his form was no longer seen. He knew Ban was probably worrying about her but refused to show it after everything that has happened.

'This Dragon Empress, why did she try to kill that boy since he knew whatever happened to her people? What the hell happened billion years ago?' Meliodas sighed once more before turning around and walking off to go find Merlin. He wanted to know if she knew anything else about Ryoko, preferably if she knew anything about her people.

🐉

Ban jolted awake from feeling an intense stare on him and quickly but sluggishly sat up. He searched around his dark room for the source of this stare and he found himself staring at glowing crimson eyes.

"Ryoko..?"

"Yes, it is I."

Ban ran his hand through his hair and sighed as he looked around again. His room was dark and the only source of light seemed to be Ryoko's glowing eyes. "Where have you been?" He asked looking back at her glowing eyes but blinked in confusion at seeing they were gone.

He gasped as he felt himself being slammed back on the bed roughly dragging a cough out of him as well. He felt something sit on top of his midriff as warm slender hands wrapped around his neck. Opening his eyes, he saw that Ryoko's glowing crimson eyes were hovering above him.

"What the hell are you doing—?!"

"Quiet."

Ryoko cut him off with a small growl while she squeezed around his neck a bit as a warning. She took a hand away from his neck to place a finger against his lips. "You do not have the permission to speak or ask any questions. Head this warning carefully and if you don't, I will end you." Ryoko spoke her voice coming off soft but riddled with slight anger.

Removing her hands from him she leaned back, fully sitting against his midriff, not caring she put them in an intimate position as her bright crimson eyes stared down at him hard.

"You disobeyed me. I don't take disobedience lightly, Ban." Ryoko scowled, her stare narrowing into a glare. Ban silently stared up at her, he didn't want to piss her off more since he didn't know what she was capable of. Even though, he awoken her without any basic knowledge on her, he knew she wasn't someone to take lightly.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Clicking her tongue, she shook her head as she ran her sharp nails down Ban's arm. "You should be punished for disobeying me, human. What do you think your punishment should be?" She asked as her hand stopped by one of his hands and gently grabbed it as she waited for him to speak.

"...I don't know."

Scoffing at his response, Ryoko dug her sharp nails into his palm ignoring the small jerk he made at feeling the pain inflicted onto his hand.

"Since you don't know I'll tell you, so listen carefully." Ryoko said as she pulled her nails out of his palm not caring for the blood that coated her nails and brought her hand up to her face.

"You disobey me again Ban; The Fox's Sin of Greed and I will not grant your wish." She growled out licking the blood off her nails.
