CHAPTER ELEVEN

❝ Pathetic humans... ❞
Ban, Meliodas, and Merlin had rushed over towards the forest and had saw how disastrous red flames were eating away at everything. Merlin was quick to use her magic to summon water to put out the flames.
"Merlin, continue putting out the rest of the fire while me and Ban try to find Ryoko." Meliodas ordered and Merlin nodded as she raised up into the air. Ban and Meliodas ran off more into the forest and swatted the smoke away from their faces.
They ran deeper and deeper into the forest weaving around the charred up trees and jumped over the ones that had fallen before they slowly came to a stop at seeing someone who was up head running. It also looked like the person was running away from someone.
When suddenly they had to duck towards the ground as the person turned around and sent a wave of fire towards their direction, the fire burning the burnt up trees and grass some more.
The fire that was suddenly directed towards them was deflected as Ryoko appeared high up in the air wielding a bright fiery looking sword. She deflected the fire back towards the person as she swung her sword forward cutting at the burnt trees before she created a fireball and shot it at the person.
The fireball quickly hurled through the air and whoever she was fighting wasn't quick to dodge it got hit with the fireball. They were thrown back into some trees since the moment the fireball made contact with them it exploded.
The area was littered with smoke making it hard to see and when Ban and Meliodas had stood up they heard a 'swoosh' before Ban widened his eyes at seeing Ryoko's sword by his jugular, the sharp end of her blade close to cutting into his skin.
"Ban? What are you doing here? I thought I told you not to follow me? You dare to disobey me?" Ryoko growled lowly as her crimson eyes glowed menacingly. Ban slowly pushed Ryoko's sword away from his neck as he took a small step back.
"I didn't disobey you, I came to see why the forest is burning." Ban corrected and Ryoko huffed as she brought her sword back to her side and looked past the two males that stood before her.
"Whatever. You two are in my way and if you wish not to die, move." Ryoko demanded as she searched for the person she was fighting, her crimson eyes scanning the area.
"Who are you fighting?" Meliodas questioned his tone completely serious as he also searched for the person Ryoko was fighting.
"An insignificant human." Ryoko said before her ears twitched slightly from hearing small running footsteps due to her heightened sense. She said nothing else as she vanished right before their eyes.
Ban and Meliodas frantically looked around her form as they were surprised from her sudden disappearance when suddenly a scream of pain was heard throughout the air.
The two sins sprinted towards the direction they heard the scream of pain was and widened their eyes at seeing a male on his knees holding the spot where his arm used to be.
His severed arm was besides him on the ground as blood gushed out his opened wound and he did his best to stop the bleeding but to no avail. Ryoko who was the reason why his arm was cut off paid no mind to his wounded form as she pointed her sword at him.
"Answer me human, why does your fire power feels like my home? And if you don't want to die, you'll answer me." She demanded with a small growl as her crimson eyes narrowed.
"I—I don't have to answer you... Not after what my master told me about what you did to her people, your people." He spat and glared at Ryoko despite the groan he left out afterwards as another ripple of pain flashed throughout his body.
Ryoko gripped the hilt of her sword tightly as she let out a dark but menacing growl that had all three males become even more wary of her. Ryoko was starting to get pissed off, the continuous defiance this person was giving her was getting on her nerves as well as the way he was talking about her people.
"Whoever your master is, I will kill them after I kill you." Raising her sword high up in the air she was quick to bring it back down in a quick way to decapitate his head clean off his body but couldn't as her sword collided against another.
"You wish to die as well, Dragon sin of wrath?" Ryoko growled at Meliodas who had drawn his broken sword. Ryoko clicked her teeth in annoyance as they both struggled to push each other back with their swords before she jumped back and pointed her sword at Meliodas instead.
"I don't wish to fight you Lady Ryoko, but I can't just let you kill an innocent person." Meliodas said and brought his sword down to further show the dragon lady he didn't wish to fight her.
Ryoko scowled at him but didn't bring her sword down, her narrowed eyes soon glancing at Ban who had walked over towards his captain side and seeing this pissed her off some more.
<He's defying you my empress.. they all are.>
Ryoko ignored Igneel's voice as she tried to not let her anger get the best of her. "I don't care what you think, this human seems to know about the tragic death my people suffered from and knowing this, he must pay the price with his life." She growled and used her free hand to summon her magic power to move the two sins out her way.
Meliodas and Ban were engulfed in her red glow and thrown to the side. Once they were out her way, she quickly lunged at the wounded male her sword by her side and ready to slice his head off his shoulders.
But before her sword was able to make an contact against his neck a sudden barrier appeared and when her sword collided with it she was thrown back a couple a feet.
"Looks like my master has save me once more but I promise you, the almighty Dragon Empress. We'll meet again." He declared with a sick smile on his face before a black glow engulfed him and he disappeared.
Ryoko picked herself up from the ground and stabbed her sword into the ground as she glared hard at the spot where the male she was trying to kill was just at. Soon her glare moved onto Meliodas and Ban who had stood up and was staring at her with a wary gaze.
"Pathetic humans..." Ryoko growled, her growl nothing but dark and menacing. She said nothing else as she too disappeared from the scene.
