"A' Xu," Wen Kexing toasted with Zhou Zishu, who gave a smile as they clanked their cups together before taking a sip.
"Da-ge!" The familiar voice of his little purple menace called out, Wen Kexing smiling as he and Zhou Zishu turned towards the sound. Just who they were waiting for.
"Da-ge, I got your message!" Gu Xiang declared, her smile faltering as she looked at Zhou Zishu, pointing accusingly at him, "Sick dude? Why are you still here?"
"What? You don't approve of him staying with me?" Wen Kexing raised an eyebrow, amused at the girl's reaction.
"No," Gu Xiang gave a small laugh out, raising her hands defensively as she took a seat in an empty chair, "Not really. It would be fine."
"A' Ling told me that one of the Scorpion woman hit you last night," Wen Kexing looked over her in concern, seeing if he could spot any visible wounds. She didn't appear all too affected. "How are you doing?"
Gu Xiang looked at her arms before smiling at Wen Kexing, "I'm fine. Chengling was grateful and gave me all the supplements that Gao Chong gave him. I'll be fine after some rest."
"I will confess to my ignorance of the Scorpions," Wen Kexing sighed, playing with the now empty cup, "But to think they're lurking around in the Yueyang Sect just to kidnap people. Disgraceful. Luckily, after A' Ling took the Glazed Armour out of his body, he's safe now."
Wen Kexing paused, watching the small sigh of relief that escaped Zhou Zishu and smiled a little. No matter how much he denies, Zhou Zishu is fond of the boy, "A' Xiang, the day before the Heroes Conference, make up and a lie and leave. A' Xu and I will meet up with you and A' Ling. From there, we will leave this place and follow where A' Xu leads."
Wen Kexing turned his attention back towards Zhou Zishu and quirked an eyebrow, "Is this husband still willing for my sister and I to follow,?"
Zhou Zishu's eyes softened at him before they turned teasing, looking towards Gu Xiang, "It would be an honor to have a beauty with us."
Wen Kexing's smile fell and he glowered at his lover. The nerve of this man!
Zhou Zishu glanced back at him and winked. It did not ease his troubles.
"Where will we be going?" Gu Xiang questioned but before she could get an answer, Zhou Zishu's eyes narrowed, looking behind Gu Xiang.
"Who's there?"
A boy no older than Gu Xiang scurried out, like a rat out of hiding. He looked gentle, a puppy face with wide warm eyes and naturally pouty lips. Half his hair was pulled back by a solid silver cuff, a side lock of hair left out to frame the right side of his face. His robes were a pale blue hue mixed with a pristine white, faint lining of dark blue. One look at the boy and Wen Kexing wanted to bundle him up, how soft and delicate he appeared, a gentle breeze within a wind.
Cao Weining.
Dies within a year.
Wen Kexing's hands itched to take him away.
"Cao Weining, from the Gentle Wind Sword Sect," The puppy boy introduced himself before immediately looking at Gu Xiang, who had stood up at his introduction.
