Ren's POV
"You're a failure. Stop making trouble and concentrate," my teacher would say.
"You're seriously good for nothing," my dad would say.
"You must get your filth from your dad," my mom would say.
"It's in your genes," my younger sister would say.
I wanted to shoot a bullet in their disgusting heads so badly, just so they could shut up. Why do they always have to bring me down constantly? Die already.

"I'm gay," I said at the door, already carrying a backpack of my stuff. "I like girls."
"WHAT?!" Just as I predicted, my parents yelled at me with bursting rage. Disappointment written on their faces, foul and nasty words spitting at me. It's like they wouldn't stop until their words buried themselves into my skin, into my veins.
"SHUT UP ALREADY! THAT'S WHY I'M LEAVING NOW!" I shouted, having enough and agitated to the max. I know they don't want me to stay.
"LEAVE!!"
"WE NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!"
"YOU'RE SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT, REN!!"
"AN ABSOLUTE SHAME IN OUR FAMILY!!"
"GET THE HELL OUT!!"
And what did my two younger siblings do? One of them wanted me to leave, while the other begged me to stay, but in the end, they both ended up watching me leave, not doing a thing.
It hurt more because I took care of those two until they were old enough to take care of themselves. I was their parental figure since my parents were always so busy. And this is the kind of thanks I get?

"Kunigami Rensuke. How the hell did you expect me to be happy to see you again? It's such a pity I can't, isn't it?" Ren said, looking at her younger brother coldly.
Kunigami returned the look with broken eyes. He was so happy to see her again after two years and to know she was alive during this apocalypse only brought relief to his heart. But she didn't feel the same. He couldn't muster up a response to her words.
"Ren, he's your brother!" Igarashi shouted.
"I know. But..." Ren looked at Kunigami with cold eyes. "You let me leave. Why did you let me leave? Did you just give up on me?"
"I didn't know what to do..." Kunigami looked like he was going to start crying. "What could I, a mere 15-year-old kid, do?"
Ren sighed. "You're right. But don't you think you could've at least kept in contact with me somehow? When you really let me just disappear, I thought you didn't want me in your life anymore."
"I'm sorry, Ne-san," Kunigami apologized. Ren's face softened at his apology. She took his hand and led him to another room, about to comfort him in private.
Damn, I'm an only child so I don't know what it's like to have sibling issues. I'm kinda thankful that I don't have siblings, but at the same time, I felt lonely at home. Now that I think about it, I don't like sharing, so nevermind.
