MEDUSA'S FIRE AND ICE.

1774, NOVEMBER 27th, SUNDAY 9:35 pm.

Medusa shook her head as Tak and Vida walked away.

"What have I done?" the President muttered.

A hand landed on her shoulder.

"The right thing," General Trio said. "Thank you Medusa."

Medusa sighed. "Biomass manipulation and cellular regeneration... The technology behind these DeathTech soldiers."

"I know – absolute insanity, right!" Trio chuckled.

"Tell our ACES not to get themselves killed."

Trio grinned – she walked around to Medusa's other side. "Should I order more soldiers to our location?"

"No, no... I brought a hundred specifically to gather data," she muttered. "We need to learn what our enemy is capable of. If SHIT hits the fan, I have you and General Rust to keep me safe."

Trio pat Medusa's shoulder. "We got you homie... How do you think Dreg is handling those birds of death?"

"Who knows – I just hope Salt, the Grave brothers, and the soldiers at HQ are enough to protect it."

"If Edward wanted to take out our main forces, I imagine he'd do something flashy – rather than separate us," Trio said. "He seems like the kind of person who likes to put on a show."

Medusa nodded as her army was pushed back – it was insanity. They exponentially outnumbered DeathTech, had soldiers with excellent Create skills, and yet they were losing. How was it possible that each DeathTech soldier was as strong as ten Cross soldiers? How did they manipulate flesh and regenerate all damage? HOW!

"At this rate, our entire company will be assimilated."

"Should we sell our stocks?"

Medusa snapped towards Trio.

"Poor joke... Sorry," The general whispered.

A man screams filled the air as skin and hair were torn from his body – every bit of him was integrated into the DeathTech soldier.

"We'll have to switch to ranged attacks," Medusa muttered. "At this rate, only an idiot would fight these things up close."

"That idiot seems to be doing well."

Medusa turned to Trio and followed the general's gaze to Noche. Using a water barrier to prevent any skin contact, the blonde sliced up soldiers as she made a mad dash towards the castle. The president blinked.

"What... Is she doi-"

Flashes of red and blue filled the sky – a massive wall of fire filled the northern side of the battlefield; a wall of ice covered the south. Black snow fell from the sky as ash and ice intermingled above.
