Chapter 13: Hermione & Training

     "Why did you drag me down here Draco?" Ursa asks with a groan as she looks around the crowded Three Broomsticks.

     "Because everyone comes to Hogsmeade. You have a reputation to uphold." Draco says.

     "God I miss Ilvermorny. No reputation to uphold."

     "Come on. Lighten up. Have some fun."

     "I was having fun until you dragged me out here."

     "You are so boring."

     "I'm going back to the library." Ursa says as she stands.

     "You are boring!" Draco yells after her as she leaves.

     Ursa goes back to the castle and gets her books from her dorm before heading to the library. It is pretty empty except for Hermione. "I see I am not the only one who thinks Hogsmeade is a waste of time." Ursa says as she stops at Hermione's table.

     "Huh?" Hermione says as she looks up from her book. "Oh, hi. No I just need to study."

     "I do not think we have been properly introduced. I'm Malfoy, Ursa Malfoy." Hermione laughs and Ursa looks at her in confusion. "What?"

     "I'm sorry for laughing but that is exactly how your brother introduced himself to Harry right before our sorting. I'm Hermione Granger."

     "Ah 'Potter's Mudblood friend.' Sorry. That is just how Draco identified you to me. It is nice to meet you. That is how we were taught to introduce ourselves. Have make sure they know we are important and are part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight." Ursa rolls her eyes.

     "You aren't like him are you?"

     "What do you mean?"

     "You disarmed and talked back to Professor Moody when you saw that what he was doing was effecting Neville. Then you checked on Neville. You're talking nicely with me even though my parents are Muggles."

     "I am kind of like him. We share the belief that purebloods are more powerful, but I do not look down on or treat others differently because of their blood. It is not something they can control. As for Longbottom... I know things."

     "Do you want to sit?"

     Ursa smiles softly. "Sure, thank you." Ursa sits down across from Hermione and gets her Charms book out. "What are you studying?"

     "Arithmancy. What about you?"

     "Charms. My grade is low by my family's standards."

     "So are you Draco's twin?"

     "No. I am older.

     "How are you in the same year then?"

     "We were born 11 months apart. Both of our birthdays land within the dates for this year. I was born early September of 1979 and he was born in August of 1980."

     "Wow. So for part of the year you're the same age?"

     "Yep. For about a month. My birthday was three weeks ago so I'm 15 and he's still 14."
