The mystery boy collapsed as K.C watched him fall to the pavement.
"Hey are you ok?!?" K.C shouted as she rushed by his side dropping her groceries.
The spiky haired boy groaned as K.C put her hand on his forehead. His temperature was much too high and the blonde was covered in sweat. The girl quickly unlocked the door as she placed down her bags and helped him inside, shutting the door behind them.
K.C decided that she needed to bring him to her dorm and supported his arm over her shoulder. K.C grunted as the boy was way heavier than she had anticipated and slowly "carried" him up the stairs. By the time they reached her room, K.C was exhausted from dragging the limp body up the stairs. She panted as she threw open the door and dragged the boy inside plopping him on the couch.
The boy groaned as he had trouble breathing. K.C was rushing around her dorm room to find a first aid kit but to no avail. She knew he had to improvise and ran into the bathroom to grab a clean rag. The girl then ran the rag under the cool water from the faucet before gently placing it on the unconscious boy. K.C sighed as she grabbed an extra blanket from the cabinet and threw it over the boy in front of her.
How did it get to this? She went from starting her own journey to taking care of a random stranger. Honestly this was one of the strangest days of her life.
K.C took a deep breath and went to find a thermometer that thankfully her dad had made her bring with her just in case. After searching around, K.C returned and placed the thermometer gently in the boy's panting mouth. In a few minutes the device beeped and K.C looked at the thermometer.
"106.3" K.C frowned as she placed the tool on the coffee table. He seemed perfectly fine when he bumped into her. It was hard to believe that this boy was the same energetic person from earlier. Speaking of the boy K.C could now get a better view of him now that he was sleeping.
He looked about the same age as herself. 18, maybe 19 years old. He was tall around maybe 6'1 she wasn't sure. He was definitely good looking. There wasn't one flaw on his face except maybe a few scratches and cuts.
K.C realized she was staring at him and quickly looked away. She felt like a stalker watching some guy sleep.
There suddenly was a knock on the door as K.C quickly ran to get it. She cracked open the door to find A girl holding bags of groceries. Her groceries.
"Are these yours?" She asked monotoned.
K.C nodded. "Sorry I forgot about them!" She laughed.
"Don't leave your things in the lobby" she said emotionless as she handed K.C the bags. Before K.C could say anything else the girl walked away and disappeared down the hallway. K.C slowly shut the door behind her as she put the groceries on the counter. K.C went through the bags to make sure nothing was missing and was surprised to find that nothing was broken. She stocked up her fridge and cabinets until everything was put away.
"Is this your place?" A familiar voice spoke.
K.C turned around to see the previously unconscious boy sitting up on the couch.
"Your awake!" She said surprised.
The boy nodded. "Hey you got any food?"
"Huh? Are you kidding?" K.C responded dumbfounded.
The boy's stomach growled loudly. "Nope I haven't eaten since yesterday" he shrugged.
"Umm I can cook if you something if you want...." K.C trailed off as the boy began wandering around the dorm.
"Whoa! Nice place you got here! You even have a bath!" The boy cried out from the bedroom.
K.C ran into her room to find the intruder digging through the drawers.
"Hey!" K.C yelled. " Get out if my stuff!"
The boy grinned. " Sorry, your mad cause I didn't ask for your name! " he chuckled.
K.C face palmed herself. This guy was freaking clueless.
"My name is K.C Carlene. But you can call me K.C."
"Alright K.T nice to meet you!"
"K.C " she corrected.
"Yah K.G got it!"
K.C groaned. How did it get like this?
"Wait what's your na-"
RIIING! RINNG!
K.C's cell phone rang. "Stay here" K.C demanded as she walked outside her balcony and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"K.C! I found something!"
"Emily?"
"No it's your grandpa! Of course it's Emily! Anyway I searched Knysna's history and stuff and I found something!"
"Really? What is it?" K.C waited in anticipation.
"Okay so ten years ag-"
CRASH
"Hold up Emily" K.C groaned as he ran inside the bedroom to find that the boy was not there.
Where did he go?
"K.C...... K.C?" Emily asked before K.C hung up.
"Uhh sorry Emily, I'll call you later" K.C sighed as she ran into the living room to find the boy had broken a vase that was on the kitchen table.
"Hey! I thought I told you to stay put!"
The boy scratched the back of his head and blushed .
"Sorry, it's just I never saw a flower like that.." He pointed to the sunset color flowers on the table.
"It's called a plumeria flower, they're from Thailand" K.C explained. "Anyway I never got your name?"
"Oh I forgot!" The boy laughed. "My name is Caspar! Caspar Lee!"
