Trent dropped K.C off at the front office and waved goodbye before driving off. She started walking toward the dorms as she collected her thoughts. When she reached the wooden doors she pulled them to find that they were locked.

"Your kidding me." She scolded as she reached in her bags for her key. The key surprisingly fit as she heard a CLICK and went inside.

The dorm lobby was dark with only the fireplace radiating light. K.C began walking up the stairs and toward her room as the hallways were dead silent. It was almost creepy on how quiet the dorm was as she went into her room. The room was dark and K.C could hear the faint sound of the refrigerator running. She sighed as she threw her bag on the couch and walked to the bedroom. The blonde threw herself on her bed as she looked outside her balcony window.

In the distance K.C could see the faint light of the lighthouse. She couldn't help but think about the spiky haired boy that was being pursued by those men.

"He's okay right? He'll be fine..." She muttered as she dozed off into slumber.

The next morning K.C woke up and looked at her clock. It was 11:00 am. K.C sat up in her bed and realized that she was still wearing her clothes from yesterday. She groaned as she dragged herself to the bathroom and took a shower. Twenty minutes past as K.C dried her hair and put on some sweatpants along with a sweat jacket on top. Her stomach growled when she realized that he had yet to stock up on any food whatsoever.

"Guess I'm going to the market.." She sighed as K.C grabbed her bag and headed out the door. The ocean breeze blew through her hair as she stepped outside. The market didn't seem very far, maybe like 20 mins walking distance. As she walked on the paved road, K.C past the beach and could hear children laughing. The weather outside was perfect.

"I should go to the beach later" she giggled as she entered the town plaza.

K.C bought some fruit, along with breads, eggs, meats, and some seafood. She was thankful that her dad had taught her how to cook. K.C sat on a nearby bench as she held her many bags of groceries. The girl quickly checked her phone and noticed that her friend Brianna and Emily had called. She decided to call Emily first since she already talked with Brianna yesterday. K.C confirmed her contact as she pushed "dial" on her phone. The phone rang a couple times before someone answered it.

"Hello?....." came a sleepy voice.

"Emily! It'a K.C! How are you?" The blonde giggled.

"K.C? Dude do you know what time is it? It's 3 in the morning!" Emily growled.

"Sorry haha. Anyway I wanted to ask you something." K.C apologized.

"Yeah what's up?"

"Can you look up the town of Knysna for me? "

"Knysna? Isn't that where your living right now?"

"Yeah... Can you just check to see if there is any strange occurrences or history?"

"Sure I'll get to it later...."

"Thanks and Hey guess what?" K.C waited for a reaponse but didn't hear any. She looked at her phone to find that Emily had hung up and fell back asleep.

K.C puffed out her cheeks. "How rude..." She grumbled.

K.C stood up and grabbed her groceries as she headed home. K.C passed an alley, when she suddenly heard yelling and angry cursing resonating from it.

She looked and saw the spiky haired boy bolt out of it, as he ran right past her. K.C noticed he had dirt on his face and a cut across his cheek.

"LEE!!!" yelled a booming voice two grown men ran after him.

One man was wearing a black suit, tinted black glasses, and a black fedora. The other man was much taller and more muscular. K.C saw that he barely fit his suit and didn't bother wearing a hat with his massive head.

"Dam that brat!" The smaller man growled. He turned his head toward K.C as she saw her panicked expression reflect off his shades.

"Hey miss, you seen a boy run this way? Blonde spiky, hair, fairly tall?"

K.C quickly shook her head. "N-Not a thing!" She stuttered. "Why are you looking for him?"

The man scoffed. "That kid is bad news. If you ever see him call me." He handed K.C a business card. "Sorry to trouble you" he mumbled before walking off. The larger man glared at K.C before walking after his partner.

K.C glanced at the business card as it read, " ATLAS AND COMPANY". Under it was a phone number along with the address of the office. K.C exhaled as she stuffed the card in her jacket pocket.

"Thanks for covering for me!" Came a jolly voice, startling K.C as she fell to the floor.

"Oh sorry 'bout that miss!" The voice laughed as K.C looked up.

Her eyes widened as a blonde spiky haired boy smiled at her. He had clear blue eyes, and was slightly muscular as shown through his tight fitting blue shirt. He wore white trunks and a pair of converse as his dog tag necklace hung over his neck. The boy held out his hand as he tried to help her out but K.C slapped his hand away.

"Don't scare me like that!" She scolded as she picked up her scattered grocery bags.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare yah." The spiky haired blonde said, as he helped pick up her bags.

"It's fine and your welcome. Bye!" She waved and huffily walked home.

"Wait! Miss...." The blonde yelled after her as K.C ignored him and continued walking.

K.C walked up the hill as she passed the lion fountain and stood in front of her dorm. She reached in her pocket for her key but couldn't find it.

"No, No" K.C panicked as she looked all over for her key.

"Hey! Miss!" A voice yelled as K.C saw the spiky haired boy run toward her. In his hand was her room key.

"You left your key!" He panted as he handed it to K.C.

"Thanks I-"

K.C was interrupted as she saw the boy collapse on the pavement.
