Chapter 36
Light shined bright through white curtains as Caspar woke up the next morning. The blonde groaned as he threw his bedsheets off his body. The clock beside him clearly reading 6:30 a.m Before the man could return back to his precious slumber, the echoed knocks of his door disturbed him.
“Mr. Lee, your brother needs you at 7 a.m sharp, then you have a meeting, and later you are to help host with dinner, at 3 p.m you are……”
Caspar stretched his body as the lady behind his door continued on her ramblings. He never felt more out of place then he did today. Instead of a small messy room, Caspar woke up to a large modern style bedroom. Instead of a small twin bed, he slept in a large king sized platform. Sure he had complained about having a crappy small room and how creaky the house on the hill was, he had always preferred it over living in the lap of luxury.
“Mr. Lee? Are you alright in there? Do you want me to come in?” The lady interrupted.
“No. I’m just waking up. Be out in a minute.” He yawned.
“Okay sir. I’ll be out here if you need anything.” The lady said before she walked away, the sound of her high heels clicking down the hall.
After a few minutes, Caspar finally managed to drag himself out of bed and into the bathroom to get ready. The blond rinsed his face with cold water in the sink, and wiped himself dry. When he looked at his reflection, it made him sick just looking at himself. His face pale with dark circles under his eyes. It made sense after all, he couldn’t sleep a wink last night.
Feeling disgusted over his own reflection, Caspar decided to take a shower. He hoped it would maybe clear his mind.
Moments later the boy came out of the bathroom, towel wrapped around his waist. Before he could walk to the dresser, the blond noticed a neatly folded pile of clothes on a now nicely made bed.
“I guess my normal clothes aren't good enough…” Caspar mumbled to himself, before putting on the suit that was laid out.
Not too long after, there was a knock on the room door and the same women from before walked in. The boy showed disinterest as he began tying his tie.
“Mr. Caspar Lee, I will be the one to escort you to Charles himself.” The dark skinned women then began writing on her clipboard. The women fixed her glasses as she watched Caspar shuffle with his tie.
“Do you need assistance sir?”
“No. I’ll be done in a minute.” Caspar snapped. The crispness of the women’s tone completely annoyed him. She sounded like his mother.
By the time Caspar finished, the two began walking down the hallway, the only sound being the women’s heels clicking on the tile.
“So don’t I at least get breakfast?”
“If you had woken up earlier, there would have been plenty of time for breakfast. Right now we are 5 minutes behind schedule.”
“.....Is Charles mad?”
“Mr. Lee is always on time for his meetings. Being tardy is never an option.”
“She's like a freaking robot.” The blond mumbled before remaining silent.
After what seemed like an eternity, the two stopped in front of a carved wooden door, double door entry way.
“Mr. Lee is inside.” The women nodded before walking the opposite way, chatting on her bluetooth.
Casper held his breath as he slowly pulled down the metal handle. The door squeaked loudly as light flowed through the room. The sun shining bright through the windowsill. The room was as typical as CEO’s office could be. A table with various brands of liquor, and glasses. A book shelf with old, probably first edition books. A desk right in the middle of the large window panels, with a large leather arm chair. A nice chandelier hanging threateningly above him, as if it was waiting to fall on his head.
