"Hell of a job melting it down, Dr. Frankenstein." JJ joked

"Like you could've done better." Kie rolled her eyes

"I could've done much better, i took a welding class."

"oh yeah, when?"

"Woah. Woah. Hey sh!" John b cut them off "Chill out."

"Easy for you to say your not the on who has to pawn this shit off." JJ said

"How did we get this job anyway?" Thea asked

"cause you guys are the best liars."

JJ took Theas hand and they walked into the pawn shop together.

"Afternoon, Ma'am." JJ said

"Afternoon.." She replied with slight confusion

"You buy gold?" Thea asked resting her head on JJ's shoulder, still holding his hand

"That's what the sign says don't it?" She replied

"Well i sure hope you buy a lot of it, because im about to blow your mind." JJ said taking his bag off his other shoulder

"I don't got much mind left to blow so have at it."

Thea let go of his hand so he could get the gold out. He set his bag on the counter and pulled out the poorly melted gold.

"How bout them gold apples." JJ said confidently

She began laughing "That ain't real."

"That ain't real?" JJ asked

"It can't be.." She said

"Feel how heavy it is." Thea suggested

The woman struggled a little picking it up.

"Lets get some light on that." JJ said

She used a magnifying glass with a light and inspected the apparent gold.

"Spray painted tungsten." She said

"Spray painted tungsten. really? ok. why don't ya see how soft it is?"

"do you mind?" She asked

"No, no go for it." JJ said, Thea wrapped her body around his arm

The gold passed the soft test.

"well would you look at that." JJ said.

"Hold your horses. We haven't got to the acid test yet." She said

"Ooh the acid test." JJ said

"My favorite guys." Thea turned to her friends

"Well if it aint plated, it aint painted." The woman said
