"Kids?", Titus laughed, "Pah."
Luna and her friends stood quietly, not daring to speak. Alice was trembling beside her, and the boys were white. Titus returned to his table, where he pressed several buttons, chuckling. Luna expected something to fall down on them. Nothing happened. She dared to glance up. Above were boxes hanging from ropes, and the ropes were tied in a bunch near Jasper's feet. Titus turned to them.
"Still here?"
"What do you want to achieve?", spat Timothy.
"To rot out all Canis Transformis."
"What?", gasped Alice, "But you're one yourself!"
"I am not! I am a Rebel, and I am fighting against it! I kidnapped many Soul Transformers to experiment. And finally, my work is complete and I am ready to start."
Luna anxiously looked around the room. A telephone, a closed window, lots of buttons and screens. No way to escape quickly. Titus turned into a dog and came closer them, growling. Luna backed away, crashing into Jasper.
"Guys...now what?"
"We fight.", came Jasper's muffled reply. The four of them stood next to each other, shoulders brushing. Titus the dog jumped, attacking them. Luna dived at his neck, holding it tight. The dog twisted and turned. Suddenly, he changed back into a man. Luna fell to the ground.
"Ha! Nice try, kid."
Luna's eyes darted from the telephone to the boxes on the ceiling to the closed window. Suddenly, she had a brilliant idea. She glanced at her friends. She could tell by the gleam in their eyes that they knew what they had to do. A silent argument broke out between them. Titus was watching them curiously. Finally, they came to an agreement, and they still hasn't spoken a word. Jasper crashed into Titus' belly, pummelling him and yelling: "Let us go!"
Whilst Jasper was kicking and screaming like a two-year old, the others took immediate action. Titus tried to grasp Jasper, but he swiftly dodged ("You evil man!")
And kicked his shins ("Take that!"). Titus growled like a dog in fury and confusion. He changed into a dog, snapping at Jasper's ankles. Jasper ran, Titus close behind. Then, Jasper stopped. Titus stopped too in confusion. Boxes fell from the ceiling. Alice laughed, revealing her canine teeth. She had bit through the ropes.
Crash
Titus lay on the floor, fuming."Stop! Put your hands up!"
And Gwen came in. Titus tried to make a mad dash, but failed. While all that, Luna had called her with the telephone. Timothy had opened the window. Gwen smiled at the kids. "I can't thank you enough. Even though you ran away." She glared at Luna and Jasper. "Can you please free the others?"
They did as they were told, and unlocked a door. People came running out, looking worse for wear.
"Come on... Well get you home..."
The children smiled at each other. They had done it. They had stopped the evil and saved the good.
