Adrian:

"Well damn...if I'd known that SHIELD was this exciting I would've joined a long time ago."

Everyone turned to stare at me and I shrugged. "Well I would."

Everyone watched the sky as Hydra's plan was blown to pieces, quite literally. None of us really seemed to know what to do next, we just found ourselves all turning to Dart.

"What?" She grunted out the word, barely taking her eyes off the destruction overhead.

"Well...now what?" Josh asked her, staring at her now rather than the tons of metal sinking into the Potomac.

"Excuse me? What makes you think I have a plan?"

"You are the one that grew up within SHIELD. What's the protocol for department invasion?" Josh questioned her further, and frankly I was curious myself.

If there was no more SHIELD, did that mean no more mission? No more team? I fingered the bracelet on my wrist that had been such a source of annoyance, but somehow made us a cohesive unit despite our differences. Did I just say something deep? Sorry guys, I will try to be more callous next time.

"I never heard mention of a protocol, but the most logical thing is a system wipe. To start from scratch and investigate all former agents for loyalty to the enemy. Then use those agents who are loyal to SHIELD to rebuild the agency. This of course would all be directed under the highest ranking official still alive. And Fury is dead."

"Coulson?" Dove piped up, rubbing her shoulder. Carrying me down was quite stressful for us both. I have to admit, I am not a big fan of heights.

"Wait a minute, Rogers only said that Fury was shot. We don't know that he is dead." James piped after helping Ethan to his feet.

"No, believe me, even if Fury is alive, the intention is for him to remain dead in our minds. Whatever is left of SHIELD needs a fresh start under leadership that is considered uncorruptible. Everyone knows that Nick Fury has a dark side." Dart explained, probably uttering the longest sentence I have ever heard from her mouth that wasn't a threat.

"That makes sense I guess." Dove shrugged and jogged back over to us, folding up her wings so they weren't dragging behind her.

"Ok, what is the plan?" I wasn't feeling to safe standing below the falling wreckage, and if any Hydra agents knew we were still alive, they might attempt to come after us.

"We really need to get somewhere safe and far away. Any ideas?" James folded his arms across his chest, looking at each of us in turn.

"Yeah. I know a place." Dart nodded. "Not even SHIELD knows about this place."

"Do we have to do the whole physical contact thing again?" I asked, stuffing my hands in my pockets.
