Hydra or Hero?

 Dove:

I was stunned had no idea what to make of this new found set of emotions that Dylan had summoned forth. I also was just angry that I had a new set of “evil masterminds” after my brain. It’s not like I didn’t already have enough on my plate with Weapon X. We didn’t exactly have time to mull it over anyways, because we would definitely need to get out of there before all the mayhem started so that we could help Cap. I hadn’t even met the guy and he had already won my trust. I decided we needed to take some action and fast. We could worry about Dylan and me later.

“Hey everyone you heard what Cap said we need to help. Go grab your gear and suit up. We don’t have time to argue.” I yelled at them as I rushed over to grab my mask and arm guards. I unzipped my jacket revealing my suit which I was already wearing underneath it. Everyone gave me a weird look.

“What I really like wearing it, ok?!”

Everyone was scrambling to find all their articles of clothing and slip on their skin tight suits when we heard a loud banging knock on the door.

“Open up we are here to get you out.”

Somehow that invitation to open the door didn’t sound so friendly to us. James went over to look through the peep hole. He motioned me over to him.

“Can you get a read on them?” he asked.

“Yeah I think so.” I pressed my head against the wall to get as close as I could to them. I could sense a lot of anger in them and it didn’t look good.

“There are at least ten or fifteen of them, all armed, they will blow down the door if they have to.”

“What if you try to take them out like you took me out,” Adrian suggested.

“Yeah good idea,” a duplicate of himself said.

Everyone gave him an annoyed look. We were unamused.

“I don’t know maybe, but I’d have to go through the door, and I haven’t really learned how to control it yet.”

“You’ve have to try.” James looked at me. “We’ve got your back as soon as you take a couple of them of we will charge them together.”

Everyone had their suits on or at least mostly on. They were standing together ready to run out and attack the hydra agents. James stood by the door ready to push the button to open it. I looked over at Josh who gave me an affirming nod.

We could feel the engines roar to life beneath us. The Insight helicarriers were about to take off. I knew we needed to get out of there as soon as possible.

I leaned against the door closing my eyes. I focused on the mind of the closest agent. I could hear his thoughts in my mind. I willed him to go to sleep. I pushed him hard. I could feel his senses dull and his thoughts fog up. I heard him thud onto the ground outside the door. I could hear the others outside start to murmur. They knew we were up to something.

“The telepath is taking people out. Quick we need to blow the door.”

I grabbed the two agents that were hooking the explosives up to the door by the mind and took them out.

“I took out three of them. They are about to blow the door we need to go out now!” I yelled.

  James pushed the button and the door slid open.

We bust out of the room yelling.

“For Narnia!!!” I chanted as I ran forward.

“Dylan! Adrian! The guns!!!” Josh yelled ignoring my remark.
