James:

The glass stung my palms as I beat against it, but I ignored my smarting skin and beat relentlessly on the unforgiving surface. Ethan was next to me, his palms pressed calmly against the glass as he waiting for the doors to be opened. Adrian was on my other side, closest to the door with Tony, both of them ripping out wiring and yelling things at JARVIS who was unable to get around the cyborg's block.

Daniella rolled across the floor, away from the Cyborg's arms that could surely crush the life out of her easily. They were both on their feet, the cyborg still twitching from the electrical shock Daniella's weapon had sent through her system.

I tensed realizing that the only she had accomplished with that stunt was making the cyborg mad, which meant she was more likely to act erratically.

"It's time you did as you were told." The cyborg gritted out, her face transformed with rage. Two fingers raised to her temples and I sighed. Mind control did not work on Daniella, she had the mind block she told me about.

"Your mind tricks won't work on me." Daniella said, she pulled a long thin knife from her belt and I saw her take a look around. Her weapons were scattered everywhere and I knew she was running low.

"Oh Daniella," I flinched with anger as the Cyborg used my name for her. I was the only one she allowed to call her that, and I saw her face ignite with fury as this registered to her as well.

"Don't you know who put the device in your head so that Dove could not control you?"

'Oh no.' I groaned and watched helplessly as Daniella's body unwillingly slammed to the ground on her stomach.

"It was us." The cyborg hissed, arrogance coating her words as she flipped Daniella onto her back.

I ran over and shoved Adrian out of the way, and started trying my hardest to open the door, the cyborg blocking my every move. I glanced at Daniella, trying to assess her condition and how much time she had before the Cyborg killed her, and I regretted that glance immediately.

Daniella's face was contorted with rage and fear as she tried to fight the Cyborg's mind control, I could see the sweat beading on her forehead as she raced to free her mind.

"And now you will die, while all of your friends watch." The cyborg cooed, making Dove's voice the most viscous sound I had ever heard in my life. She made Daniella turn her head and look at us. And her gaze softened as she saw us all desperately trying to help. When her eyes connected with mine I saw her jaw set in place as new determination flooded her.

I looked away in that moment, 'Come on, you can do it.' I silently cheered for her in my head, working alongside Tony as we tried to re-wire the doors.

"Oh how quaint, you are trying to fight back." The cyborg said and I ripped out a blue wire, quickly twisting the copper strands around the end of a yellow one. "Well it's no use." I shook my head, frustrated that the system wasn't listening to me.

Tony started ordering JARVIS to break into the system and shut down the cyborg and I shoved him aside. I reached my hand into the panel and touched the mainframe. A spark shot through me, and I closed my eyes, focusing on the array of numbers flashing in my head. She had compromised the system, it would blow if we attempted to destroy it, but it was also denying every access code that Tony pounded into the key pad.

"The question is, should I kill you this way? Or slowly and painfully?"

I looked into the glass room at the Cyborg's words, seeing the knife hovered above Daniella's chest in her own shaking hand.
