"Start talking." I backed away from Tom, letting him breathe again and giving him some room to recover.

He nodded his head, holding up a finger to show he need a moment to get himself together again.

I guess I scared him pretty bad, which now I kind if regret because now I have to wait to hear what SHIELD has hidden from me.

The others were all in their previous positions on the floor, varying degrees of shock on their faces.

"As you know, Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, better known as Bucky Barnes, was a soldier of the 107th Infantry and friend of Steve Rogers. After being rescued by Steve, Bucky became a member of the Howling Commandos and helped to eliminate the threat of Hydra by attacking the multiple bases across the European front. During a battle on a HYDRA train, Bucky was attacked and fell off the train."

I looked around at everyone's face only to find them captivated in Tom's story.

"He was then assumed to be deceased, but he actually survived, though he lost his left arm. Brainwashed and armed with a new cybernetic limb, he eventually became a HYDRA operative known as the Winter Soldier. Over the next decades, he served as an assassin for Hydra, removing specific targets to help advance the agency.

"However, when he was sent to kill S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Director, Nick Fury, he was confronted by his old friend, Steve Rogers, which caused him to start remembering who he really was."

"I know who he is. I've read the file." my entire body is tense as I wait to hear what exactly this man thinks I am. I am already an assassin, but to be marked a

a traitor due to my lineage is not how I planned to end the day.

"He was the one who killed Fury? and no one told us?" Adrian pipes up, as if he had any sort of authority on the situation.

Tom nodded. "That information was only recently confirmed by the agency, and we did not think it was necessary to inform you of, until now. Barnes was under control of HYDRA for a great number of years. During that time he killed many people. He has been nearly impossible to identify, but after Captain America woke up and gave SHIELD access to his and his comrades' belongings, we were able to identify The Winter Soldier's DNA.

"We believe that during one of his missions that required him to stay to stay in a single location for a longer period of time that he met a women. We are unsure of her identity and therefore we cannot know if she was mutant or not." Tom looks at me.

Go figure, it's very possible that instead of coming from a SHIELD agent family-style home, I come from a Hydra assassin family-style home.

"You were not on a mission that day with your family. That was the day SHIELD found you. We believe you were at the base that we had recently attacked and that you had been separated from whoever had cared for or trained you at that time. Black Widow and Hawkeye made the decision to take you in, despite the markings on your clothing saying you were with Hydra.
