"Al, hindi pa rin 'to magandang ideya sa'kin," panimula ni Hailey.

I watched her pace around my sala room. She and Jayden dropped me off at Laguna a few days ago but Hailey came to visit again this morning. Sinigurado ko naman sa kaniyang okay na ako rito habang nag-aasikaso ng dukomento sa pag-alis pero pumunta pa rin dahil lang nag-alala.

Though I feel nice that Hailey is, I can't stand that she's making it harder for me. Katulad ng sinabi niya, we just met each other again and now I was planning on leaving.

Jayren found out too. That alarmed me but a week has passed and I haven't heard a word from him and his family. I already considered a rush flight the day he found out but I can't leave without a reason. So Kingsley enters the room.

He owes me for Hailey and I thought of using it as a way to disguise my leave as a business trip. He's going to Silveria's Macau branch so he'll be out for two weeks. He included me in his itinerary but I need to depart to Macau first before I book a flight to Barcelona. It was the best option I can settle with.

"Saka dalawang beses ang flight mo. Paniguradong mapapagod na ko no'n tapos mag-isa ka lang? Paano kung maduwal-"

I groaned and grabbed my phone. I can't handle more of Hailey's paranoia. She's been alarmed about my pregnancy as if it was the first time she saw one.

Nag-type ako ng message kay Jayden. I hope he's already out of work and on his way here.

Me: Pick her up, please?

It took him around 5 minutes before he replied.

Jayden: Something wrong?

Me: I can't leave if she's being like this.

Jayden replied saying he's on his way. I bear with Hailey's nagging for a whole 30 minutes before Jayden texted her that he's downstairs. Balak ko pang ihatid siya, pero kaya niya raw ang sarili niya.

Isasara ko pa nga lang ako pinto ng condo ko nang humarap na naman siya sa'kin. That's when I noticed her eyes swelling. Moments later, I found her running towards me. Niyakap niya ako nang mahigpit, ang mukha nakasubsob sa gilid ng leeg ko.

"Come back, Al," she said. She moved back and wiped her tears away.

I chuckled, but my tears threatened to fall too. Niyakap ko ulit siya. "Of course, I will. I can't miss Ninang Hailey."

Hindi man lang nakatulong ang birong 'yon para tumigil ang iyak niya.

I fell asleep moping too after she left. Paggising, inisa-isa ko lang ulit ang mga gamit na dadalhin ko. Nang makaupo ulit, chineck ko kung may message si Eros kinagabihan. We were texting everday but since the day I found out I'm pregnant, I haven't seen him.

First, I fear he might suspect something. While I don't think my figure is changing, I can't afford for him to see me. Second, I got busy with work. I spent a day meeting with Hailey's grandmother at ang tagal niya pang nakipag-usap. She asked me a whole lot about the renovation. Luckily, Jayden briefed me on everything so Hailey's grandmother didn't doubt it.

Naiintindihan naman ni Eros noong sinabi kong baka maging abala ako sa mga susunod na araw. Even his last text is so considerate of me; it made me feel worst.
