Chapter Thirty
Tell

"I can't believe I haven't done this sooner," dismayadong aniya ni Mamá habang pinapanood ang pagpasok ng ilang lalaki, pawang mga bodyguard sa loob ng bahay.

My jaw clenched as I heard their footsteps slowly coming our way. There is no news if Mamá has already reached Eros. There's no possible way to. Sa Laguna siya nakatira and no one knows him here. Not even Mamá knows his name.

The Vastias might familiarize themselves with Eros' face but there's no way Mamá would ask them about his whereabouts. In fact, Mama's frantic and wanted to keep that a secret from them. She doesn't want them to know. Andromeda Vastia would definitely go nuts about that.

Walang magagawa ang paghahanap ni Mamá. And as long as I don't talk, they won't get anything.

That fact, though, made me sorry since last night. Even though I have to worry about myself since I don't think I'll ever go out without someone's company again.

And I'm worried about my nanny. Almost all her things were in the maid's quarters. Where did she go? Did she go home? What could have happened to her? What would her family say? She got fired because of me?

"These will be your body guards for now on."

That was the first thing that welcomed my morning. Mamá told me that the moment I saw her in the dining area, several men are already behind her. I looked at her coldly. She only crossed her arms.

"You can't be serious." Damn it!

"Bet on it, Clementine," she threatened.

Pailing kong pinigilan ang inis na nararamdaman. I didn't exactly get that. I have my phone and I chose to delete every sign of Eros on it just to make sure Mamá won't get anything from me. I am sure she was making a move but I had no clue what could be that so I should just make sure. I only spared time to upload our pictures on my Dropbox so even when it gets deleted on my phone, I have somewhere to look it up.

I have to protect our peace so I didn't message him. We're locked in a feud but shit, didn't I just message him last night? Ugh, guess I have to block for now; tell Jayden to contact him about what happened so he'd go with me. And here I thought I'd be able to do that peacefully.

"How are they tagging along with me in school?" iritable kong tanong nang makita ang pagsunod ng isang kotse sa kotseng sinasakyan ko. "Mamá, I have my right to privacy."

"Look where your privacy brought you," she remarked with sarcasm. Humarap sa mga guards. "Any news about the guy?"

My jaw clenched tighter.

Mamá smirked at me. I averted my gaze away from her. I'm fine as long as she doesn't get to Eros. I'll be fine.

"Why do you have guards with you?" Hiro was the first one to ask when I arrived at the classroom. "Did something happen?"

I glared at the guards standing just before our classroom door. I mean, how wouldn't they be? Even police forces aren't allowed to go to school that easy! Tapos may mga guards!

"Later," I only whispered in response.

I want to focus at my academe but these guards are distracting. The professor, however, just went back to teaching us, like he didn't talk to them at all. I wonder what they said.
