Fate plays a lot of tricks.

I'm bound to someone with the same name as Eros Jackson! How weird could that be? Ito ngang pangalan pa lang niya ang kilala ko ay siya na ang pumapasok sa isip ko. What more if I see the guy? What if I'd feel disgruntled because Eros raised my standards? Because as of right now, if I'm gonna have a fiancé, si Eros ang pasok sa standards ko!

Ugh, is this a coincidence?

What if... it's him?

Nasapo ko ang noo ko sa biglang naisip.

"No! Definitely not!"

He can't possibly be that dahil unang-una, his surname is Ramirez. Second, he's a driver in Barcelona. He's in Barcelona! He can't conceivably work there if his family is this rich! The Vastias certainly wouldn't like their children laying their hands on the ground. Ito pa kayang nagbabanat ng buto sa ibang bansa.

I sighed and kept the files with me as I go back to my room. Papá dismissed the meeting and permitted me to review the files they've given me. Gusto nilang tingnan ko ang mga awards nitong si Eros Vastia para raw makita ko kung gaano ako ka-swerte.

I rolled my eyes. Deep inside me, my hopes were slowly defying because it feels like I'm not gonna have a choice now. Mamá and Papá sounded certain and serious about this family. If I disappointed them, I wonder what they would do with me.

Nang makaapak sa kwarto, dumiretso kaagad ako sa study space ko para buksan ang laptop. Curiosity injected in me that I wanted to check if this Eros has images I can see from the internet. I wanted to see his face.

Mamá only told me I'll meet him sooner this year pero ayoko namang makita at makausap 'yon ng personal nang hindi familiar ang itsura. If he's really that famous, he'll for sure have images on the web.

Nanginginig ang kamay ko habang nagta-type. There's something about this man that makes me anxious of knowing more of him. Was it because he has the same name as Eros? Sa dinami-rami ng pangalan, bakit Eros pa? Bakit Eros Jackson din?

Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko sa antisipasyon. The search engine loaded numerous sites where the name I typed is present. Clearly, Vastia is a massive surname. Vastia Prime Holdings, Vastia Group, Vastia Aircrafts, Faustino Vastia, Filimon Vastia and sorts like that appeared in related results but I rarely see one with Eros Jackson!

Sinubukan ko pang pindutin ang link patungo sa impormasyon kay Faustino Vastia at baka madala ako no'n sa impormasyon ng pamilya niya. May nakita akong article mula sa isang business magazine kaya iyon kaagad ang nilaharan ko atensyon. Vastia:Business Insider is the article's title.

It talked about Mr. Faustino Vastia's family but only his wife, Andromeda Tiongson-Vastia was mentioned. Napangalumbaba ako habang pinipihit ang mouse para i-scroll down hanggang sa mapatigil ako sa isang litrato. Everyone is foreign except from the man who was standing side by side with another guy, while two older people, a couple, were sitting in their front.

Nanlaki ang mata ko nang makilala and pamilyar ng itsura. With his slicked black hair and unconcerned eyes, the guy was forcing a smile in the picture.

"What the hell...." gulat kong usal habang humihigpit ang hawak sa mouse.

Mariin kong pinindot ang picture at izinoom-in 'yon sa mukha ng lalaki. Mas lalong lumakas ang tibok ng puso ko nang matanto ang parehong itsura, mas mukhang bata lang at pormal at ang pamilyar na tindig. He has his hand pressing over the older man's shoulder.
