Back in the real world, Yi was no longer trapped. Fully mobile, she climbed out of the rubble, eyes squinting when the bright sun hit her eyes. It felt like forever since she had last seen daylight. But she was alive all because of Ymir.

Yi was out of the collapsed building but she wasn't safe yet. There were still titans running around looking for Eldians to eat. A small three meter titan spotted her and its smile grew wider. It ran quickly towards her, arms flailing and eyes wide open. The small ones were always the fastest and always struggled to eat their victims because of their size. If it was up to her, she would have rather been eaten by a large one so that her death would be less painful. But it didn't matter. She was just given a second chance by Ymir. There was no way she was going to waste it.

Yi ran over crumbled bricks and nearly tripped over several wooden splints. The titan was gaining on her and the adrenaline in her veins could only last her for so long. She was growing weary but knew that if she stopped then all of the tiredness and ache in her body would catch up to her.

But the familiar sound of the 3D maneuver gear grew closer. Relief filled her, she was finally safe. The harsh blow of the blades cutting through titan flesh was played followed by a hard thud. Yi turned around to see Mikasa, no longer wearing her scarf.

"Mikasa!" she cried. She was saved yet again.

Mikasa detached her cables from the building and ran to Yi. "Yi, did you have that dream?"

Yi nodded her head, "I saw Ymir. She healed me."

Mikasa grabbed her hands, "We have to stop the titans, they're swarming everywhere!"

Yi felt helpless. She didn't know how to use the Scouts' gear and her bloodlust was only useful on humans. But right now they were fighting titans. Mikasa dropped her off at the top of a building with one wall missing. Watching the fighting from above were the Marleyan volunteers and several scouts who were resting or wounded.

But the fighting soon ended when multiple thunder spears exploded, finishing all of the titans. Yi followed Mikasa and Armin who were requested by Sasha's father. When they reached the end of the staircase several young children and Niccolo met them.

"Yi!" Gabi exclaimed. She ran into the woman's arms, ecstatic that she was still alive. And Yi felt the same way. She hugged the child tightly, never wanting to let go out of fear that Gabi would slip through her grasp and never be seen again.

"Oh Gabi! What happened? Are you okay?" Yi looked around the room at the other children. "Where's Falco?"

Gabi shrugged her shoulders and wiped the tears that started to leak from her eyes, "I don't know."

"Why are you here?!" Armin asked angrily.

"Please believe me I don't want to fight you anymore. I just want you to give Falco back! I promise we'll disappear once you do. We can take Yi with us too!" Gabi held the elder's hand and looked up at her with pleading eyes.

Mikasa sighed, "He's not coming back. Ever."

"He will be fed to Connie's mother so that she can become a titan shifter." Armin explained.

"What?" Gabi said in disbelief and horror. "Why? Why is she a titan to begin with?!"

"Four years ago." the blonde girl from the corner spoke up.

"That's right. Connie's hometown is the village that was turned into titans four years ago. For four years Connie has been going there to see his mother. His mom was the only one who couldn't move, so she was still there." Armin said.

"I'm sorry." Mikasa offered her pity. She knew that if it were Eren, she wouldn't know what to do.

But Yi couldn't accept that he was going to die. If anything, he was the least deserving of it. "Please, we can't give up on Falco." she said softly.

Gabi dropped to her knees and pulled on Armin's clothes, "Can't Eren Yeager turn Connie's mom back into a human?! The Founding Titan can do anything, right?!"

Armin's face dropped even more, "I don't know, but if he could, I imagine Eren would have turned the soldiers transformed into titans by Zeke back into humans-"

"If you don't know for sure, we can ask him!" Gabi screamed desperately, "We can ask Eren! Does he really have to kill everyone outside of the Island?!" she turned to Yi and grabbed her hand, "Eren will listen to you! We can bring you to him and you can convince him!"

Yi bent down to Gabi's level and wiped her tears away and stroked her hair, "I'm sorry I don't know if I can." She broke down into tears as well, "Eren won't listen to anyone!"

Gabi turned from Yi back to Armin, "He doesn't have to do that! Can't he just attack all the world's military facilities?! Ask him! He stripped the Armored Titan of its armor so he must be able to do it!"

"Where is Reiner?" Mikasa asked.

"It doesn't matter right now!" Gabi cried, "He's too injured to move anyway!"

Armin perked up, "What? The Armored Titan's hardening was undone?!" Gabi nodded her head. "When? When did it happen?"

"As the walls fell." Gabi said quietly.

"Armin?" Mikasa said.

"Eren said he would undo all of the hardening."
