Gabi looked at the gun in her hands in shock. Did she really do it? Did she really kill Eren? Silence filled the air as everyone on both sides looked at Eren's body in shock. It was over. He was dead. It appeared to the outside world and everyone that Zeke had caught Eren's head right before they both died.
But the moment was quick and fleeting. It was no more than a mere second of relief until the walls began to shake. Everyone looked up at them in confusion until the largest titan skeleton emerged from Eren's severed head. The walls shook and transformed into hundreds of colossal titans. All knew of their goal and marched towards the sea.
The scouts all looked at each other until a loud voice spoke, "To all subjects of Ymir," they all looked at each other, recognizing his voice, "My name is Eren Jaeger. I'm using the power of the Founding Titan to address all of Ymir's subjects."
The Eldians all found themselves in the same limbo Eren found himself in, for just a moment. "The hardening of all the walls present on Paradis Island has come undone and all titans entrapped within them have started marching. My objective is to protect the people of Paradis, the place where I was born and raised. However, the world wishes for the annihilation of the people of Paradis. The hatred that has been swelling up for so long will certainly not end until not just the Paradisians, but all of Ymir's subjects have been eliminated. I reject this wish.
"The wall titans shall trample all Earth outside of this island underfoot until all life existing there has been exterminated from this world."

A struggling body amongst hundreds of others fought its way out of the rubble. It had no thoughts. The body moved on autopilot. It didn't know who they were or what had just happened. It had no memories. One obstacle blocked them from sitting up. It was a large metal rod impaling their abdomen.
The person coughed up blood and struggled to breathe. The realization of the situation quickly yet gradually hitting them. She looked down at her torso. Blood covered her entire body and ceiling crumble irritated her eyes. Everytime she took a breath her lungs filled with dust and blood.
She whined in pain and desperation as she attempted to lift the piece of ceiling that was crushing her legs. The pain in her abdomen and legs blocked out the pain in her head. Hundreds of wood splinters stuck in her skin. The world was spinning around her and the building only rumbled some more.
Yi brought her arms up to shield her head as the remaining walls crumbled. Luckily, they missed her. She croaked out in a pathetic attempt to scream for help. Her throat was dry and tasted like sawdust and crumbled bricks.
She looked back down at her torso. The first thing she learned as a nurse was to never pull out the obstruction. It would only lead to bleeding out and a slow death. But on the other hand, she couldn't move because the metal rod impaled her through the stomach and out her back. It snagged onto the carpet, trapping her to the floor.
"Help." she whispered quietly. But she knew that no one would come to her aid. But she couldn't help but try. To die in a foreign country that you were involuntarily taken to. To be collateral damage from the genocidal titan whom she had foolishly fallen for. What a way to die.
But as she thought about it more, she realized that maybe death was her mercy. It was Ymir recognizing that she had suffered through enough already. The outside shook with gunshots and bombs mixed with roars from the titans and the sound of the 3D maneuver gear. More buildings fell and the unlucky people were crushed.
"Eren." she said weakly. She didn't know how long she had. Maybe I will be reborn. She said to herself. I want to be a bird. Peaceful and free. Free of her beauty, free of the government, free of emotional attachments.
She grew tired as she kept struggling. Yi laid her head back on the hard floor. She gladly accepted her coming death. It was a slow and painful way to die but at least it got the job done. She closed her eyes and drifted off, hoping that sleeping would take away the pain.
"To all subjects of Ymir."
Leave me alone. Let me die.
"My name is Eren Jaeger."
Okay, fuck off Eren Jaeger.
"I'm using the power of the Founding Titan to address all of Ymir's subjects."
Fucking hell.
Yi opened her eyes and to her disappointment, she was still in the same position. Still alive and still in pain. And now Eren was talking in her head. But she looked at her surroundings. She was no longer in the building. Instead, she was laying on sand. The rod was still stuck in her body but it was freed from the floor.
"The hardening of all the walls present on Paradis Island has come undone and all titans entrapped within them have started marching."
Yi sat up slowly, wincing in pain. She ignored Eren's speech. A young girl smiled at her.
"Who are you?"
The girl said nothing but smiled. She gently guided Yi to lay down on the sand. Yi didn't know why, but she complied. She didn't feel endangered but rather calm. She allowed the girl to pull out the rod. It was painless and the girl continued to comfort her.
The girl took the sand and filled the holes left in Yi's body until they became flesh. She held Yi's legs and shaped them to their original shape, healing all of the broken bones in her body. Once she was done, the girl held her hand out and Yi accepted it. She stood up without pain and without hesitation.
"Ymir?"
