Shay starts to show unacceptable behavior at work. She isn't sleeping well and starts to stress about people at work.

She wakes up and realises today is going to be a bad day. She feels irritated, tired, and just off today but she pushes through. The morning traffic seemed far worse than it had since she been here in Chicago and people seemed less patient with her. She hated days like this where she couldn't tell if it was her or everyone else with the issues.

She drags her feet into pharmacy after disappearing for an hour.

Where have you been we paged you overhead. Andy asked worriedly.

I've been upstairs. All the equipment in Pacu its no wonder I didnt hear it overhead.

Yeah but an hour Shay.

I'm sorry I was fixing a med drawer. I'll try to check in more.

I didnt mind explaining myself to Andy. He had always treated me respectfully but then the others started in on me.

Taking another break Ed sneered. Where have you been anyway.

Working what are you my mother she continued on and later got called into Vicky's office

Shay I have complains that your disappearing.

No I'm busy working. I'm not standing around scratching my ass like the rest of them out there.  I answered back my voice sounding more sarcastic than I wanted it to.

Look your the best I have, no one else wants the job you do so your lucky i need you. Make this work.

I know people talk about me and I accept it I just don't want to hear about there problems ya know.  I just want to do my job and go home but people have to get in my business and start problems.  I guess you could say I'm not a big people person.

She walks up to Marisol if you have a problem with me take it to me dont go sneaking behind my back telling stories.

Excuse me. She responded defensively.

You heard me bitch.  Yeah I actually said that.  She didn't seemed pleased getting defensive as she puffed at her chest.  Maybe it was the response I was wanting.  Honestly I find myself sabotaging every relationship before it starts.

Later that day Vicky calls me back to her office.  I already knew what she was going to say. You can't call people names or threaten them this is strike two. Its not looking good for you. Three strikes and your suspended Shay.

Thats not fair. You didn't even ask my side of things. You just believe every word that other people say about me.

I have complains from upstairs also it needs to stop.

Nice. I thought. Everyone here hated me. The only friend I really had was Janice. She was the only one that really understood me.

Every day was the same. It would suck and then I'd come home drink a few beers, pop a few pills then cry myself to sleep. Id wake up the next day irritated to start the day over again. Maybe I needed to talk to someone professionally.

"These machines are ridiculous." Crockett slams the side as if it were to help the computer behave properly.

"Its new we all have to figure out how to get use to it." April added. "I think pharmacy knows about all that. Give them a call."

Shay gets the message and is relieved to have a reason to get out of her department so she grabs her keys and yells loud enough in a sarcastic tone..
