This thing with Shay is really wearing me out.. Keeping myself busy with Chicago is helping in that regard but I'm not in my 40s anymore and lately I've been feeling it.

Stress if Shay doesn't kill me then that will.

Hank. Hayley just interupted his deep thinking.. that lead he's on the move again. What do you want us to do.

Follow it let's see where he goes.

We have been following a case this week that involves the drug Cartel and its distribution of fentanyl. We have had a number of overdoses involving shipments that have been brought in from Mexico. We finally linked it to some shady officials here in Chicago and we are getting close.

That lead was a bust Hayley states.

What happened.

I don't know serge but I'm starting to think these are related somehow. 3 cases in a week all goes bust up.

Sounds like maybe an inside thing.

Maybe we can build a list and start from square one again.

Yeah let's dig in then. Look into everyone starting from this unit and then outward. There has to be a link somewhere.

Serge the only link we found was a few County judges. These guys have been getting the suspects off for years so as of right now its our only lead.

Go make a case talk to each one lets figure this out.

Nothing solid except a connection to a Myles Cramer. He's cartel well unofficially. Serving 30 in the penitentiary but still it was something.

They offered this guy special treatment if he helped.. I wish I could help really. What I do know is Judge Leary has a deeper connection thats all I can tell you..

When we confronted Judge Leary and used his son as leverage he finally spilt his connection. Leads to Denny woods.

Denny ain't gonna talk to us and he's smart enough to have covered his bases.

Maybe he won't talk to us but I can think of someone he might open up for.

No, no way I'm not bringing Shay into this.

It may be the only thing that will work. We dont need him to confess or to give us clues. But she will get him to let his guard down. Its a shot.

Hank knocks on Crockett door. Shay answers and let's Hank in.

He looks around like he's mentally trying to put together answers he don't dare ask.

I've been on the couch in case your wondering. She states.

Well he must really be loving this huh?

You know he's the one that's been telling me this whole time to go speak with you. He's trying to help. She tried to defend but he didn't seem to believe her.

So we have a case we have been working on which led us to someone we might need you to talk to.

Denny woods.  She looked disgusted but then to my surprise ok with the idea.

Just talk to him. Try to get him to talk about any affiliation with Judge Leary. My guess is thats all it will take. He may be expecting us. If you go he may let his guard down some.

He then pulls away. No I'm not here for that. We need you to be ready. This is happening today he said before walking out.

Alright Shay the mic is here just try not to touch it. Jay said adjusting her coat. The mic gently pinned on the inside.

Remember we dont need much just get him talking about the Judge. It shouldn't take to long.

We are not expecting much from him so don't push too hard hank added. If it gets uncomfortable and you need to bail your safeword is umbrella.

Umbrella thats stupid look if I start to feel uncomfortable ill just say I do he's not stupid he knows you'll be listening.

Shay. He didn't seem surprised. Come in. She resisted with a scared look.

Are you alone. She asked as her eyes peered inside.

No worries see cameras. He shows the bracket around his ankle. House arrest. Though I do get privacy for good behavior he winks. Seriously if I wanted to hurt you I would have done so already.

She walks past him. Jumps at his advances toward her.

Relax he grins handing her a glass. He seems to enjoy her being uncomfortable.

Wow he must be desperate to send his woman in here. Let me guess hank having problems at work. Haha.

He didn't have to convince me.
This seemed to intrigue him slightly. I volunteered.

Why would you do that. Don't try playing dumb with me I'm not stupid. Please don't try my intellect .

No I wanted to see for myself. I wanted to know if you were still a threat to me.

I didnt kill your friend he made his choices. Your friends they aren't good you do know that. Their criminals. Ha and I'm the one locked up. He said sarcastically.

Hank freaks get in there and take her out now.

I'm not going to ask what they wanted me to. I wont do that but whatever it is that your involved with only you can make it right.

They start to bust in. Pushing the front door wide open before piling in.  Then Denny rushes closer to whisper something to Shay before they intervien.

Have them look closer in on the judges.

Her eyes met his a final time before they pull her out.

What the hell was that. You didn't even ask him. Hank was clearly pissed and it was expected. You were never going to ask him? What are you doing?

He would never help you.  He's not an idiot.  I answered.  He said to look closer at judge leary and case of September of 2003. Then without another word she continued on her way.

This case did give them what they needed to break Leary which also helped them solve the case.
