I let hank be for awhile after. Just until things settled with work besides he was still busy and I guess if I was being honest I was still avoiding him.  Thoughts of Denny were still fresh on my mind terrorizing each moment of silence.

Crockett invited me to dinner with Rebekah and I was greatful for the distraction. This was his red headed fling at Med. Honestly I really didn't like her but maybe it was because she was with my best friend.

We sat at the table and I watched the two of them cozy up all couple like. It was gross.

Oh he is the most amazing surgeon bla bla bla. Yeah he is tell me something I dont know lady.

Watching you in that room ill tell you and I have to be honest you made me so hot in there. She giggled.

Eww gross.

I'm sorry Shay how are you? She interceeded at my look of disgust.. Oh I heard you were working at med again good for you.

Yeah well it wasnt my first choice but beggers can't be choosers. I was pouting of course as I swirled my soda with a straw. She was so fake and I always could tell when someone was fake. It was a gift I had.

Oh well I'm sure something will come up. Hopefully your career isn't ruined already with you having just started it and all.

No Rebekah she chose to leave Teleflex Shay is a damn good worker. It was that self centered boyfriend of hers.

Ok ok ladies this is getting heated how about drinks to cool down the conversation. Crockett got up to get drinks leaving the two of us glaring back at one another.

Hes right i said. I have to use the restroom anyhow. I got up to leave and didn't even know she got up to follow me.

She shut the door behind us. Look Im not an idiot I know that you love him.

What? I huffed out a rediculous chuckle under a breath that I had stuffed in.. Hes my best friend of course I love him.

No you are attracted to him. I can see it and the jealousy that follows with it. I like Crockett and hope that you dont try intervening in any way but in the case that that happens you need to know that i fight hard so do your worse. If you truly care about him you won't get in his way. He deserves to be happy.

After she was done rambling she tried to walk away.

I'm not done here. Its my turn to talk now. I barked back. She stopped and turned to look at me.. Alright, I do want to see him happy and I won't stand in the way. Ill even support him but know this if you hurt him in any way you will have to fight cuz ill come for your ass. Better have skills. Bitch.

She smiled at me and I her. We were at least in agreement and then we returned to the table.

He was already waiting at the table for us when we arrived.. Holding a worried look at the two most important women in his life.. I gave him a reassuring smile and sat sound beside her.  After our food was brought out I felt it. An awkward uncomfortable feeling like I was being watched. My eyes did a once over of the room until they landed on Denny who had already sat at the bar. His eyes glued to me.
