Violets POV
I woke up to my alarm and instantly regretted opening my eyes this early as the sun blinded me for a moment.
I look over and see that Bucky is already gone probably making tea.
I walk into the kitchen area that we have in our hotel room and see him making tea
"Good morning" Bucky says to me as he turns around
"Good morning lover" I say hugging him
"Ready to go back?"
"Ugh don't remind me"
"I know, I know but just think in a few months we'll be married and off to our honeymoon" Bucky says as he kisses my head
"Please tell me it'll be longer than two days"
"Definitely"
I smiled as we made our tea and sat down on the sofa watching tv
*a few hours later*
"Buck can you grab my phone charger from the nightstand please?" I ask as I finish grabbing clothes from the living room and packing them into my duffel bag
He comes back with my charger and we leave
*at the house (violets house technically)*
As I walked through the front door I ran right into my room and plopped on my bed
"As much as I love luxury bedding it will never live up to my fuzzy blankets"
"Oh trust me I know" Bucky says as he sits his bag down and joins me
"So what should we do today?" Bucky asks looking over at me
"How about we stay home all day and never leave this bed" I say crawling up to my pillows
"Vi we've been doing that for days don't you think we should go back to work"
"You mean fighting bad guys? You would rather do that?"
"Obviously not. I would much rather stay here with you but I kinda made a promise to Sam that I'd help him with the new situation"
"What new situation?"
"Are you sure you wanna know? It's sensitive"
"Lay it on me Barnes"
"Well since Sam decided to retire Steve's shield the government took over and made this new guy the new Captain America"
I looked at him in shock
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah I know it's bad. I already grilled Sam about it but he said we have to work with him on this mission"
"I'm coming" I said getting up
"Vi you can't"
"Why"
"Because this mission is about the super soldier serum and I'm thinking that we won't be able to beat these guys without help from a certain someone who you don't get along with and we can't have you compromising the mission. I'm sorry"
"Bucky I'm going. I promise I won't do anything. Who were you thinking of?"
"Zemo"
"What?! Bucky he won't be able to help us. If anything he'll end up screwing us over"
"It's a risk I know but Vi we both know we can't let the serum get into the wrong hands. We have to take care of this now"
"Okay fine but if he tries any slick shit I'm cutting his throat"
Bucky laughed and reached out his arms
"I love you"
"I love you too metal arm"
We finally let go and I looked into his eyes
"You have pretty eyes you know that?"
"You have a pretty face you know that doll?"
I rolled my eyes and grabbed our guns
"Here lover boy. Let's go" I said as I handed him his gun
We started to drive to meet with Sam and I started to have a bad feeling about this
"Bucky are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Yeah Vi we have to help Sam he can't do this on his own"
"I just have a bad feeling" I say quietly to myself
We arrived to where Sam was and got out
"Hey Sam" I said to him as he was walking down some stairs
"Hey guys just so you know I told Bucky I didn't need your help, I just don't have much to go on with these guys"
"Right" I said with a smile
"So where do we start?"
***a few hours later***
"There they are there's a hostage Bucky" Sam said over the comms
"We have to go now" I said as I start running towards the truck
"Vi!" I heard Bucky say then hear him start to catch up with me
We get into the truck and see a girl
"Hi" Bucky says to the red haired girl
She came out from behind the boxes and started smiling
She kept looking between us then kicked us both with full force onto the truck that was behind the first one
"Shit" Bucky says as he grabs the top of the bus and holds onto my arm as well
"Swing to the top" I yelled
He swung me to the top of the bus and I helped him up
When we turned around we saw people coming towards us wearing the same mask the girl was wearing
We started to fight them and I saw Redwing coming
Then the girl from earlier came onto the top of the truck and started to fight Bucky when redwing started to fire at her. Once redwing was close enough she grabbed it then broke it in half
"I always wanted to do that" Bucky said
She turned to Bucky and kept fighting him while I kept fighting the others. I saw Sam out of the corner of my eye and pushed one of the guys off the truck into the road then turned to the other guy and started to fight him. Sam kicked the girl away from Bucky and we all kept fighting
I then see Steve's shield hit the guy in front of me and I look up to see a guy dressed in red white and blue jump out of a helicopter and land on the second truck. I look at Bucky but he's busy fighting another dude off so I go to help him when a guy flying on a rope kicks the dude off of the truck

"Those we're all super soldiers Sam" Bucky says starting to get up
"Yeah I know"
"Well what do we do now?" I asked brushing some grass out of my hair
Bucky just started to walk towards the road
Sam and I followed
"Wanna tell us what's going on in that big cyborg brain of yours?"
"It's computing" bucky said with a straight face
