I walked down the road with Cole. Both wearing black. I wore a black hoodie, black leggings, black vans, black socks. I also wore the mic. I connected it inside my hoodie.

Cole wore a black hoodie, a black shirt, black skinny jeans, black vans, and black socks. He's the one with the camera. The camera was in the wide framed glasses. He looked hot.

We walked towards the door of our nieces captors. My adrenalin rushed, but deep inside I was nervous. I felt like such a badass.

"Damn! Your ass is fine!" Cole said, smacking my butt. I smiled. Getting compliments like that from him isn't a problem, but getting them from others makes me uncomfortable.

"You are lookin' hot yourself!" I said.

"Are ya ready to do this? Ready to get Emma back?" Cole asked.

"Sure as hell I am." I said. We high-fived.

"Good!" We stopped in front of the very last house. "Here it is. 1666 Black Widow Way. The last house." Cole said.

I exhaled. "Let's do this!" I said.

We walked up to the door. I nudged Cole forward to knock. He knocked and quickly stood back.

The doorknob raddled. The door swung open to reveal Destery holding a belt covered in red stuff. Please don't tell me he killed Emma.

"Well, hello Ali. Cole." Destery said.

"Why do you have a belt covered in red?" I asked.

"It's blood, my friend." He unfolded the belt and dragged his finger in the red.

"What you do this time?" Cole asked, furiously.

Destery replied, still calm, "we mom and dad were really getting on my nerves. You see, when something gets on my nerves, I fix it. I put the belt around the neck. Pop goes the weasel!"

"Destery!" I screamed.

"Yes?" He asked, throwing the belt behind him.

"Where's Emma!" Cole yelled getting closer. Cole was a good 3 inches taller than Des. He towered over him.

"Oh yes, the girl. I'll give her to you." He said. What?

"That's too easy, what's the catch?" I asked.

I know Destery too well. Growing up he always made deals, but with catches. Didn't matter what the deal was, there was always a catch. He learned it from Dad.

"100 million." Destery said.

"Dollars!" Cole said.

"No pennies. Yes dollars!" Destery said. There's the sarcastic Des I know. "Deal?"

"No deal!" I said.

"Ali?!" Cole said, hitting me lightly on the shoulder.

"The police WILL arrest you!" I said.

Just on cue, sirens went off and cop cars came speeding to the house from down the street.

The sheriff jumped out of the car and pulled out his gun.

"Put your hands up and stay where you are." He said. Destery slowly put his hands on his head.

Des walked off the porch and onto the sidewalk. He bolted down the street. Looking back, he ran into a cop car.

"You stupid!" Cole and I yelled.

The cop grabbed him off the floor and hand cuffed him. Destery was securely held.

"This is a set up!" Destery yelled.

"Yeah, yeah. Quit your blabbering." The cop said, stuffing Destery into the back of the car.

"Cole let's go find Emma!" I said. We rushed into the house.

"You go upstairs, I'll be downstairs." Cole said. We split up.

I ran up the stairs. I checked in the first room. No. Second, no. Third, no. Last room, yes.

I found her under the small sheet, crying. Her clothes were on the ground. She was curled up in a ball. She flinched when I opened the door. I slowly walked in.

"Emma?" I said. She looked at me. She began to cry harder. She sat up as I sat down on the bed.

I looked at Emma's face. A bruise on her forehead and right cheek. I pulled her into my lap. I held her. I began to cry too.

I checked her legs. Bruises on her tiny thighs and calfs. I looked on her arms. Bruises on her right forearm and her left lower arm. Her left writ bone was sticking up. I looked at her stomach and back. She had a huge bruise on her stomach towards the right ribs. She also had a bruise on her right shoulder blade. I hugged her.

"They beat me. It hurt." Emma said, through the sobs. That cause me to cry harder. I rocked her in my arms.

Cole came up. He walked thoroughly the door and joined the cry fest.

"I'm never losing either of you. Ever." Cole said. He hugged, both me and Emma.

I picked up Emma in the sheet and walked out, leaving the clothes. We got in the car and drove home.

The whole time Emma didn't leave my lap. She slept on my lap, legs and arms wrapped around my body.

Finally. After a month. We found her.
