And after making sure that she is safe and out of sight, he reunited with Strider who was waiting for him near the door of the small new Inn

Strider: What did you tell him?

Y/N: I told him to hide and close the place. We both know that if they enter the Inn, they will kill him and everyone that is inside for information and I will not let that happen while I am here.

Strider: You have done well, now let us move on.

He said as they enter the Inn and found the Hobbits waiting for them, so Strider asked for a room and then went up, Y/N sat near the room's window, observing the street, and Strider sat on the other side facing him as the Hobbits were preparing their beds, but Frodo stayed awake thinking

Y/N: Now that we are safe for the meantime, why did you ask for Gandalf in the Inn then?

He asked Frodo, looking at him with wonder

Frodo: I do not know.

Strider: What? How do you not know?

Frodo: As I said before, the fear of the Black riders is what forced me to leave the Shire. It was originally Gandalf who would have accompanied me to Rivendell, but he did not tell me when should we start the journey until I saw that he was very late, which is unusual for him, so I decided to begin the journey alone at the beginning of this month until Sam found me and went with me without hesitation, we then met Pippin and Merry when we had an incident near farmer Maggot's farm, and they came with us and helped us to escape the Shire unnoticed, and from there I used an old map that I took from my uncle, I thought maybe Gandalf would be here waiting for me but I guess you two saw how it went.

Then the silence was in the room, making Frodo Look at them again and break the silence

Frodo: Now, I believe that it is my turn to ask you, Strider, how do you know about me?

Strider: I was behind the hedge this evening on the Road west of Bree when you came out of the Downlands. I need not repeat all that you have said to them.

Strider: But one thing interested me, "Please remember, that the name Baggins must not be mentioned. I am Mr Underhill if any name must be given." That interested me so much that I followed you here.

Frodo: I don't see what interest my name has for anyone in Bree, especially for the Rangers.

He said angrily, looking at both of them

Strider: I was looking for a Hobbit called Frodo Baggins. I wanted to find you quickly. I had learned that you are carrying out of the Shire, well, a secret that concerned me and my friends.

Frodo: And is that why one of your "Friends" is here tonight? You two know each other very well.
