Continuation from previous part-

I fastened my buttons and was about to move my body down the bed but the hangover headache couldn't let me do that so, I sat there resting my spine on bed's headboard massaging my temple's sides with my forefingers until, Vaijanti appears swaddled in another yellow banarasi saree but, this time in proper Bengoli style as instructed by kaka yesterday, bringing a glass full of Coconut water in her left hand and cradeling Raina in her right hand.

"Anirudh babu, take this. it will help to you ease your hangover in a jiffy." she forwarded that glass at me."Aiyyoo Ji, take it know, staring at me like this will not ease this, this coconut water will do." She forcefully placed that glass in my hand and hugged Raina properly on her left side, patting her back.

I gulped the coco-water bottoms up, the water tasted sweet in contrast of bitter Alcoholic taste still in my mouth.

"Raina...hum mum mum! today Amma will bring you few new toys matching to your new dresses, I hope you liked those dresses, as of now you cannot tell me about your likes/dislikes but when you are grown up know by that time you can tell people around you about what you like and dislike."

"bah-bah..aaaahi hihi " Raina's new sound echoed in the room like to tell Vaijanti she liked those dresses very much.

"Appa!! Shukriya Raina heehee, at least you liked my choice, if I understood you correctly this is what you mean and if I didn't get you right it can be coz I am not your biological Amma so, I apologize but, still you have no option as once I and your Appa had no option." Here her words clearly were denying any relation of her with me or Raina but I couldn't say anything at that moment and due to vomit sensation I rushed to washroom.

After vomiting that bitter acidic water fully, I felt fresh, my headache almost gone and I came out to grab one fresh towel as Vaijanti had not done anything as she was doing it all till yesterday.

"Aiyoo Barrister babu! I asked Bihari Anna to keep your towels in that cupboard, you take one from there, and if you don't like my closeness with Raina you can tell me that too, I will not be touching her or her stuff anymore...but just one last wish , please allow me to bring new toys for her, I really liked those..Please." She pleaded smiling profusely ,her brimming eyes engaging immense pain of betrayal first by Prabhat then yesterday by me not only denying her as my wife but as Raina's mother which she actually is ....pierced my heart too.

I couldn't understand why every time when any women loves me I gift them immense pain be it Saudamini, Bondita and now Vaijayanti too but Dugga Ma! I pray to you, never do that with Raina, my daughter if any how I will make her cry or end up giving her even a small pain, this Anirudh Roy Choudhary who was just breathing corpse without Bondita will become lifeless body at that particular moment.

I sarcastically laughed at my own fate grabbing the towel from the cupboard and once again walked inside washroom to take a shower saying

"you can bring anything and everything for Raina anytime and I know she likes your choice".

She turned other side to wiped the tears which escaped from her eyes just now and I latched the door inside washing my tears fade away in shower drops.

when I came out Bihari has come in to put some freshly cut fruit salad and a glass of chilled watermelon juice.

"Bihari, why all this that too here, you remember we all eat together down on dinning table?"

"Chhote Malik, I am doing my work as instructed"

"Who told you to do all this?"

"Bade Malik, bade Malik told me Chhote Malik."
