Continuation from previous part-

I left for Kolkata with Vaijayanti next day, even though I was away from Bondita but l know, my heartbeats were rhyming with hers, I was totally broken inside when Mr. Sen a colleague of ours from Dinpur court informed me that ThankuMa has restricted Bondita to go to the court so, no one has seen her after that day when she was extremely delighted by the news of finally the law will be functional in few days, after that conversation with Mr. Sen, I never dared to ask anyone about her.

I and Vaijanti stay in different rooms, we only meet at the time of intaking edibles.
She holds a lot of grudge against that girl who used her name for about one year to come at RC mension and meet RCs on her behalf and only because of that her Appa got her married to me instead of her love Prabhat, who refused to marry her believing the lies reaching to his ears that she was meeting frequently to a well known Barrister since long one year tenure.

Whenever she asked me about that girl. I lied to her that even I too don't know what her real name was ? and she has disappeared misteriously somewhere after our marriage.

I frequently listen her sobs standing outside her door, "Barrister babu I will leave you and disappear like that girl coz I still believe that Prabhat will come back to me one day for sure..."

But I shamelessly avoid her, l feel bad for her but never dared to console her as I don't want her to keep any hopes from me and used to focus on my barrister work.

Days passed like this, living our life together still unknown to each other, after about 8 months since we have shifted to Kolkata l got some reasons to live and smile back.

One day, A lady in her 20's banged in my cabin, her emotion were mix of happy and sad both. I looked at her and recalled that she is Tupur, Chandrachur's first wife and Bondita's sister.

"Barrister Babu! don't know how will you react on this but for us it is a good news." she looked back and Chandrachur entered and she continued.

"Barrister babu! you know we came all the way to Kolkata just to inform you that Barrister Babu Bondita has given birth to junior Anirudh."

I couldn't say anything just the happiness rolled down in my cheeks all the way from heart to eyes.

"Barrister Babu, I know how precious moment would have been for you both coz not only a new mother long for her babies father, the same a new father feels but due to the unpleasant circumstances you both are living far away from each other. "

I promptly wiped my tears and asked them.

"How is my Bondita and my Baby?"

"Barrister Babu, both are doing fine, but are waiting for you and don't worry I and my lifelong love Tupur taken her very good care during pregnancy and will be doing same until destiny has perfect plan to meet you both once again." Chandrachur uttered caressing my knuckle with moist eyes of guilt and sorrow.

He paused.

"But one thing Barrister Babu, you know I have lived my motherhood with her from her second month of pregnancy to first kick in her womb to baby's first cry and being unable to conceive I beg you to do the greatest scarifies of your life to let my barren lap cradle your baby lifetime. would you please!!! That is why before performing any rituals together we came for your permission." Tupur begging opening her hands in front of me.

I gestured her not to beg and continued.

"What did Bondita say? Tupur..."

"Whatever my Patibabu will say...?"

"Jamai Babu! we know truth of your marriage but riots and all after that separated you." Chandrachur exclaimed with deep exhale.

"My husband never married to Bondita, he never touched her, she wears Sakhapola and vermilion of your name only."

"Then why that marriage thing and all which that day you and ThankuMa were speaking"

You know when that day Bondita returned haveli one of the agitated folk throw a stone at her that hit her badly but, before she stumbles on the floor Tapur saved her and brought her inside to do the first-aid.

"Barrister babu, It infuriated me and went outside to make them understated what crime just now they had committed, before I could do anything one folk shoot me with the bullet but Tupur came in between to save me and that bullet hit Tupur's right hand and they left after some time when police came."

"You know ThakuMa treated Tupur as she was badly injured and Tapur who too has learned some medication from ThakuMa treated Bondita.., I always thought I loved Bondita but you know, I didn't even thought about her until my Tupur got her conscious back, and that day I finally understood that Tupur only is my lady love for life time." The love for and caress for Tupur was reflecting in his eyes at that moment too.

"Then, How you get to know that Bondita was pregnant? And when?"

"When your wedding's picture published in newspaper after someday, she fainted after reading the newspaper and Tapur got to know that she was pregnant, ThakuMa was out of town to treat people who got wounds in riots So, she rushed to us and once she gained her senses, we informed her, caressing her womb she told us everything and very known to ThakuMa's evil actions before ThankuMa comes to know about it, we asked Bondita to get ready like married women, faking mine and Bondita's marriage and l too came to you place with ThakuMa not giving her any hint of Bondita and l faking our marriage."

"Jamai Babu please forgive us we couldn't muster the courage to tell you the truth as that time Bondita remarked proudly that ........ previously too a law for betterment of girls "abolition of child marriage law" couldn't separate our hearts beating for each other and this time too our marriage needs sacrifice to set the example that polygamy is a curse, just one request don't let my pregnancy's information reaches to my Patibabu as it will create destruction on his path, on our dream's path." Their eyes were moist by that time and were consoling each other.

"Dugga Ma! why our destinies doesn't match..." I mumbled under my breath.

"Because my child! Being the part of change is easy but to establish a change l choose strongest souls." Ma dugga smiled.

I took out one golden ring from my office case where l have kept some things which l wanted to present Bondita.

"Tupur, give this ring to Bondita and I authorise you both to be legally Ma-Baba of Junior- Anirudh."

Chandrachur hugged me and I cried in his embrace like a little child.

"Anirudh, how much I thank to you will not be enough coz all thanks to you my family is complete now me, my Tupur and munchkin Anirudh."

Both left and I too reached home in the evening, Vaijanti was going to temple I never think about her but today l was happy, very happy so, l thought to accompany her to the temple as weather looks like the storms can make its way unknown to the fact that same night Raina will come in our life.
