Aika's POV
"I don't think it's the right time to have a chat today, Mr. Hwang"
"Right. You may go" he said and continued looking at the papers
"Uh... I changed my character's name if you will notice"
He looked at me and hurriedly opened the folder again "We agreedj to use the real name-"
"I am not comfortable with me being the main character. I will cringe a lot so I have to change it. Also, your sister name is changed to Hyejin"
He stayed quiet.
"I need to go, sir"
I bowed and turned around. As soon as I rode the elevator, my eyes rolled and keep whispering curses to Hyunjin. Why the fuck is he making me go mad?
I arrived at the floor, I hurriedly went to my workspace and sat. I can feel Elara looking at me. I hope she won't tease me today. I am not feeling well and I want to sleep all day with no waking up.
My story ended in a good line. Why should I continue this? I mean they have a happy ending. Should I break them apart? Akari and Hyunjin?
I think it's a good thing that the character I have is inspired by my annoying boss. I mean the male lead there is annoying as fuck and a bit silly, so I guess my revenge is to make Hyunjin look like he is the silly one.
"Aika, how's the talk with Mr. Hwang? Is there any improvement with your love and hate relationship?" Elara asked
"Oh, please. I am not really feeling well today. I got late and didn't slept, I got scolded I guess. I don't know-"
"Ms. Aika Moon, the Manager wants to see you" one of my officemate said
I nodded and smiled. I entered his office and bowed. What now? Is he going to scold me again?
"Where we you last night?" Manager asked
"I was at home. I finished the character report and changed some information"
"Are you sure?" he asked
I nodded "You can check the time I went home last night"
He stayed quiet.
"What's wrong, sir?"
"A lot of books were sold to the other company. We don't know who the culprit is. I don't know what will happen once Mr. Hwang find out about it. Your story is the only one that is not sold there. So I asked you" Manager
"It wasn't me. I would never do that. I have enough salary so I am not gonna make some stupid deal"
"Aika, they might be suspicious of you. I want you to help me find the culprit as soon as possible or else you will be blamed" Manager
I nodded "I will help, sir"
I went back to my workspace and sat like I am not on my right mind. How come they will be suspicious of me once it was revealed that the books were being sold? I mean what the fuck? I tried to finish the character report last night. How can I have time to make stupid deals?
"What happened?" Elara asked
"Nothing"
We all started working and I tried to change some grammatical errors I made while writing. I also searched some places and people that can be easily found and has deep meanings.
As the time goes by, it's finally lunch time. Everyone went to their chosen restaurant and some went to the cafeteria of the office while me and Elara stayed here.
"My order is here" Elara said and sat beside me while holding a box of pizza "Are you okay? You look bothered"
Until now, the culprit keep making me go crazy. I am being blamed because of that person. How am I supposed to work quietly?
"I found out something" Elara said and opened her phone
"What now?"
Elara searched something and showed me a photo of a girl "Guess who?"
"I don't wanna guess. Who's that?"
"Trixie, an actress and singer. She has a lot of connection and been volunteering to some charity works" Elara
"What's that supposed to do with me eating a pizza you ordered?"
"She is Hyunjin's fiance" Elara
I almost choke on my pizza and hurriedy drank the water in front of me.
"She is?"
"Yeah, that's why I gave up on shipping you with him. Let's find someone else" Elara
"Oh my gosh. Stop. I told you I am not going to date anyone unless I am financially stable"
"Girl, it's not bad to have fun. You and I are in the right age. Besides, you are not supporting anyone at the moment. Let's have fun" Elara
This girl. I don't know if ever she cried again because she got attached to a guy whom will never love her back. I don't know what to do anymore. I won't comfort her. Never.
"There's a bar called Amore Bar. There are a lot of boys there who are well known. What do you say? Shall we go and be wild all night?" Elara excitedly said
"Please-"
"What? Let's move on from Hyunjin. Let's find someone else better than him" Elara smirked
"Don't mention his name. Just hearing it make me feel like I don't deserve to live. Oh my gosh"
"Why? Hyunjin Hyunjin Hyunjin" she teased
"Elara-"
"Tell me why" Elara
"Please"
"I won't stop-" Elara
"We had a one night stand"
Her eyes widened "You guys fucked for one night?!"
