Aika's POV

His expression suddenly changed as he read something on his phone. From the bright expression became the disappointed one. I can't help but stare. I do find him attractive with his fierce face but I feel like he is not okay.

"Aika" Elara called

"Huh?"

"I've been calling you for a few times but you seem to be spacing out. Are you okay?" Elara asked while looking at me

"Yeah"

"You know who the traitor is?" Elara asked

"I do"

"Could it be one of those girls who messed up with you?" she asked

I shook my head.

"That's all. I will be announcing if I will add some information. Anyway, make sure to rest and don't rush yourselves" Hyunjin said

We suddenly caught each other's gaze. I gave him a look that I am worried of him but he just gave me a nod and a fake smile. He then left the conference room with his secretary.

"Let's go"

Elara and I were about to go when one of our office mates stood in front of us.

"Aika, I apologize for what happened last time" she said while looking down

"I see... You finally knew that it wasn't Aika? I hope you are guilty for talking bad about her" Elara smirked

"Elara, stop" I whispered to her and looked at the girl "You don't have to apologize. I was expecting you all to react like that since the traitor's plan is to put the blame on me. You all probably noticed that I never defended myself when you were all talking bad about me. I want you to apologize to yourself for putting you in that situation"

Elara and I went to out work area. She gave me smile making me feel like she is proud of me for what I did. I just did what I think was right. I don't think that girl should apologize to me. I am more sorry to her for not knowing the truth.

The newbie went to me and gave me a folder. I felt a paper under the folder...


Can we talk? I'll wait in the stock room.


"Wait. I'll just get something in the stock room"

"Yeah, sure" Elara said and continued working

I entered the stock room and saw the newbie there.

"I am sorry for putting you in that situation. To be honest, it was hard for me since I am stuck between taking the money or let it go. I need money to pay for my hospital bills, and medicines. I am sorry. I am in need. I am not asking you to forgive me now, I know it's hard but I hope when time comes, you'll forgive me" he bowed

I tapped his shoulder "I am not that hard to get. I forgive anyone who is sincere with their words. I just know that you are in need. I know you won't betray me for small reason. I just hope you won't do it again and will do better than this"

"I will. I won't forget for the chance that you and the CEO gave me. I will always be thankful to the both of you" he smiled

(AT THE MENTAL HOSPITAL)


It was a tiring day. I thought I will be applying for the whole day shift but I was wrong. I am having hard time even more since I am promoted as the personal assistant which I never expected to happen.

"Aika" Haru called and gave me the folder

"You checked the records?"

"Yeah, you can rest. They all drank their medicine and some were still awake" Haru said while fixing his hair

"You seem to be going somewhere tonight"

"I will have my second blind date. The first one failed. It didn't work out" he laughed

"Aika" Kel smiled as he entered

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to ask you one question since I need to go and model for a brand tonight" he said with a smile

I nodded.

"Can I ask you out on a date? Maybe tomorrow? Or the next day? What do you think?" Kel asked

"Sure. I am probably free that day"

Kel gave me a chuckle and nodded "Thanks. I'll be leaving now. See you!"

I watched him leave the hospital, both Haru and I were left dumb founded.

"Weird" Haru rolled his eyes

"Go now. Your date might be disappointed in you"

He giggled and left the hospital.

As I was checking the cameras, I saw Yujeon leaning on the wall where the main desk is located. He probably heard the conversation with Haru and Kel earlier. I can see through the cctv that he is chewing a gum while both hands in his pocket.

"Why are you still awake?"

I saw his reaction. He suddenly stood properly and went to the main desk where I am. He handed me the notebook and the pen.

"You are writing? Or were you going to ask me to teach you again?"

"I wanted to ask for an idea about the ending but it seem like I just got the answer for my question" he said in a small voice

"What was the story about?"

"An impossible love story between two different people. I guess I will have to hurt the male character by not making them together" he chuckled

"Yujeon-"


"I thought every imagination can be real... I was wrong" he whispered and walked away
