Hyunjin's POV
As I was about to go out to confront the traitor, I saw someone went near where I am. She is standing and hiding like she is about to surprise that person. Wait- So she knows why the hell is that person here?
The traitor keep hacking every computers one by one. Not until, he went to Aika's desktop searching for something. I saw the woman in front of me giggled and whispered something like she successfully did something.
As she turned a bit, I finally saw her face.
It was Aika.
Why the hell is she here? I mean it's late. She is supposed to be home as of now. Her phone suddenly opened that made her uneasy. She started looking around to see where to run off if ever something happened. After a few seconds, she accidentally hit the umbrella beside her which panicked her even more.
She was about go. I saw the traitor was about to go to her direction. I hurriedly pulled her inside the stock room and closed it carefully so the traitor won't be able to hear it. She still looked in shock.
"Are you okay?"
She looked up and was more shock "Y-You... What are you doing here?"
"I just finished my work and trying to know who the hell didn't sign out"
"What do you mean?" she asked
"Two employees didn't sign out. I went here to check who but then I saw that newbie wandering around this floor. I also saw you watching him. Were you trying to know who is capable of doing such?"
She just looked at me and went to door. She opened it and tried to see what the traitor is doing. She turned to me "He is gone"
"Let's go"
She just nodded and left the room. I followed behind her and we both got in the elevator. I know the newbie won't ride the elevator since some people will be suspicious of him if he got out of the elevator.
It's awkward...
"How did you know it was the newbie?" she asked
"According to his background, before he entered here, he is good at hacking and some computer things. He was hired as an editor and became one of those who fix our computers too. He also have some records for hacking some bank accounts"
"Then, why did you accept him?" she asked angrily
"I thought giving him a chance is a good idea. Besides, he left his card two days before the other publishing company released their announcement. You are his target since everyone knows that you are the best writer here"
She didn't talk since she heard the answer to her question.
"Let me drive you home. It's late. I don't accept no"
She just nodded and got off the elevator.
I smiled and followed her, we just signed out and went outside. We got in my car and I drove it to her place. She is quiet and was just staring at the window. I wonder if she is mad or what? I heard she is close to the newbies.
"Can you not announce about it and just talk to him in private? I feel like he has reason why he did those things" she said
That's what I like about her. She never judge anyone by what they do or what they look. She will dig deeper and will do everything with kindness. Does anyone know who can do better than her? If I will be ask...
I don't think someone can do better than my girl.
After a few minutes, she got out of the car without even talking. She just smiled at me and bowed. Then she closed the door. She just stood there so I drove away. I know she will wait for me to go.
As I arrived home, I heard Mom and Dad laughing in the kitchen and the house smell like something is burning.
"The cookies are burning"
"Hi, Hyunjin!" Mom greeted
"Let's eat dinner. I'll call your sister-" Dad
"I have to go" Yaz said as she went down
"You are going to eat with us"
She looked away.
Dad and I went to the dining area and sat. Yaz sat with us as well while Mom just finished preparing the dinner. She really baked cookies and slightly burnt it.
"Are you eating with us?" Mom asked Yaz
"She will eat dinner and lunch with us from now on"
"She eats dinner and lunch with us" Mom said
"I never saw her eat dinner and lunch when I am here"
"Are you mad at your brother?" Dad asked her
"I am not mad at him. I just don't like her fiance. That's my reason. He knows I don't like Trixie in when they were dating yet he let her control him" Yaz rolled her eyes
"Are you going to eat with us if ever you met a girl better than Trixie?"
She looked away.
My phone suddenly received an email. It contains the 10 chapters from Aika and a separate email arrived. RESIGNATION LETTER?!
To: Aika
Resignation letter? Seriously?
From: Aika
I want to do better than what I am currently doing. Thank you.
I looked at Yaz and she is glaring at me "What?"
"We're eating and you are talking to your fiance?" she rolled her eyes
"My soon to be"
That confused her.
To: Aika
Go on. Resign as our writer. I'll promote you as my personal assistant.
From: Aika
What?! Why?
To: Aika
