Mari celebrated her birthday in America but she left the next day to go back to France for school. It was hard because she'd gotten used to being back around Karen, Marcy and Anna. She hoped the next year went by quickly.

Marcy made sure to get all the kids' school things on her own. It went so much more faster but she also had stylists come over to dress them for the year, making sure to get them to donate or toss things they couldn't fit or use any longer.

She did the same.

She got all her supplies for school along with Mal's, Ellen's, Maddie's and Lisa's. She made them go through what she put the kids through. Summer was over and it was time they got back in the game.

After she finished all that, she went up to the hospital to get her information situated and Diaz's clearance. Mal had to go himself.

When she came home, she went to her office and sat down to seriously go over her schedule. It was going to take a lot but she'd always done a lot. But it'd be worth it.

A tiny knock sounded at the door.

"Yes?" She knew it was either a woman or a child.

The door opened to reveal Mickey and Cerise. "Hi, Mommy."

They came inside and shut the beautiful door. They went to the desk and climbed in the two chairs situated in front of it. "What are you doing?"

Marcy smirked. "What are you doing?"

"Ask you first, Mommy." Mickey giggled.

"Who taught you that?"

"Tia Lu."

Marcy pursed her lips. "I'm working. What are you doing?"

Mickey kicked her legs. "Mommy, am I getting a baby sister again?"

"We don't know, baby."

"Why?" Cerise asked.

"Mommy doesn't want to know."

"Why?"

Marcy was tired already. Cerise had waited for her "why" phase and now it was here. "Because."

"Why?"

"We're gon fight." Marcy held up a fist.

Cerise giggled.

"Mommy!" Mickey wanted attention.

"You don't want nothin." Marcy was sure.

"Uh huh!" Mickey nodded. "I want grapes."

"You want grapes?"

Mickey nodded again.

"Me too! Me too!" Cerise couldn't let Mickey have a thing to herself.

Marcy smirked lightly. "Go ask Mr. Manny nicely for some grapes."

The little girls streaked out.

Marcy rolled her basil eyes. Her kids...

Jake rubbed Sparrow's belly. "This is it. The home stretch."

"Stop." She moaned. She felt stuffed and miserable. It'd been an unbearable summer and the only thing that felt remotely good was staying inside and eating tonnes of popsicles.

Marley would have helped but they were watching a birthing video in the theater and she was embarrassed and terrified.

Jake pouted.
