Chapter 7

Mike was so happy someone was coming to cook for him. He knew how to cook but Tina didn't. It was a good thing they had a chef but he wanted family to cook for him. That would be Tina's mother and grandmother.

He was super excited.

Thanksgiving weekend came up quickly.

Marcy already went grocery shopping for food because she refused to be mobbed at the stores. She asked Lilly everything she'd need and got it.

The Majorses showed up on Wednesday and marveled over the house. Marshall loved the character of the place while Elliot liked how cool the features were.

Lilly just wanted to see grandchildren.

Mickey wanted to know if they got presents for Thanksgiving.

Lilly thought she was too precious but had to tell her no.

Mickey shrugged and wanted to show off her room.

Cole loved his room. "This is so nice."

Anna smiled. "Thank you, Daddy."

"Did you design this room?"

"No, MercyCat did."

"She has good taste."

Anna beamed like he'd said she had good taste. "Want to see the kids?"

"Yes." He perked up. "How is my first grandson?"

"So loud." Anna led him out.

Mike let Lai Chang, Tina's grandma, pinch his cheeks. "So food?"

"I feed you." Lai loved Mike.

He beamed.

Tina was sick of both.

"How are you?" Hiram asked Cory brightly.

"Christmas!" The little boy didn't care about anything else.

Leroy smirked. "Are you ready for Christmas?"

Beth nodded. "I want a pony. I asked Mommy and she promised."

"She did?"

Beth nodded sagely.

"What else is on your Christmas list?"

Beth took it from her pocket, always having it close so she could add more things. "I want a car-"

"A car?!"

"I'm sure she means a toy car." Hiram butted in.

"No." Beth shook her head. "A real car like Mommy."

Carole's eyes widened. "Honey, you can't drive."

"No. To build."

The grandparents were in shock.

Rachel explained about Marcus.

Burt lit up. "Who do you think is going to get you the car?"

"Granddad." Beth giggled.

Quinn smirked. "More than likely, Pop will get it for her. Granddad likes to give away new cars."

"What kind of car do you want?" Burt teased.
