Chapter 47

The party was popping off. Everyone was having fun. The little kids were happy to be up at night again, especially so soon. At the moment, INXS' Need You Tonight was playing and everyone was vibing with the '80s classic.

The doorbell rang but almost no one heard it.

The DJ was feeling herself. She was djing at thee MarcAn Chang's house and the group of super famous people loved her mixes.

Suddenly people were coming in. At first no one was paying attention but then whispering started as they didn't know these people and thought for sure Marcy would spaz.

"Marce!" Mal patted Tris' back as his wife danced in her chair next to him. "Who's that?!"

Marcy smiled as she grooved. "Come on! You, too, Red!"

Mal and Ellen stood up and went to meet these people.

Marcy hugged Asina. "Hey, girl!"

"Hi!" Asina eyed Mal.

"This is my husband, Mal and my wife, Ellen!"

Asina reached out a hand. "Hello!"

"Hello!" Mal bowed over her hand before kissing it.

Asina lit up. "I'm Asina!"

Ellen didn't like her. "Ellen!"

Asina shook her hand as well. "A pleasure!"

Ellen didn't feel pleasure.

Marcy heard the music change to the Isley Brothers' version of Twist & Shout so she grabbed Asina. "Let's dance!"

Mal was shocked and confused.

Ellen was mad.

The other women stood there with smiles but then Mercedes barreled into Chlöe. "Come dance with me!"

"Okay!" Chlöe laughed.

"Auntie Pía! Momma's over there!" Mercedes pointed.

Pía nodded and walked that way.

Mal watched as Mercedes tugged the tall shapely girl away. "Who are these people?!"

Ellen didn't know and wanted them to go away.

Rose was excited to show Marcus off to Pía. "See how he hasn't changed?!"

Marcus frowned at that. Why was she showing him off like this? It was just Pía.

Pía giggled. "Georgio has not either!"

Marcus lit up. "How is he?!"

"He is working so much! He would not even come with us here!"

Michael and Russell wondered who Georgio was. They'd never heard of him.

Judy and Jeanette were jealous. Rose was their sister!

Marcus and Rose didn't even notice as they spoke of things the other four didn't know about with their old friend.

Marcy and Asina danced together, happily. Mike, Brittany and Jake wondered who their dance partner was acting so silly with.

The song ended and Jamie Foxx's Blame It came on. Mike went to his baby sister and twirled her into a dance. "Who's that?!"

"Asina!" Marcy threw herself on him.

"Who's that?!" He repeated.

She giggled.

He shrugged it off and danced.
