Shanell

"Oh my god, Shanny. I can't believe you really came out with us." Bianca cooed as we stood in the section with a few other girls from the hood and I couldn't help but to smile.

"Right and look what my bitch got on.." Lima went on blowing my head up as I twirled around in my black spaghetti strap dress and my heels.

I'd had on the exact same outfit I picked out earlier and I was finally here after sneaking out while Cain was still asleep.

"My brother is going to kill your ass, girl. Out here looking all fine like this." She then said with a smug smile and we all laughed out loud before I pushed her, knowing she was right but I didn't even care right about now.

I was too excited to care.

The music blasted loudly as everybody in the club danced and enjoyed themselves. All while I was just happy to be somewhere other than work, home or with my child.

"Hold on. Is that Shanell?" I heard somebody say my name over the music making me and Lima look.

"Oh, hey." I waved seeing one of my old friends from the hood as she waved with a smile, tapping a few other girls and pointing.

"Look, it's Shanny." She went on saying and I smiled as they all waved and made their way over to me.

"O my god, boo. How are you? I haven't seen you in forever." One of them went on, hugging me.

"Last time I seen you, you were pregnant with Mya." She went on saying and I nodded.

"I know, girl. That's why, she be wearing my ass out. I don't have the time to go out anymore." I admitted, making everybody laugh.

"Where's Cain? Are y'all still together?"

"Right!" One of the other girls added, trying to get information out of me but Bianca pulled away, giving me a look.

"Them bitches just want information."

"Same bitches that used to want him when you were with him and still want him now.." She trailed off.

"Don't tell them hoes shit."

"Right. I was just about to say that to her. Same bitches that be in his face when you're not around." Lima tooted her lips and I nodded as the girls rolled their eyes hard at Bi for pulling me away so abruptly.

"Here." Bi then said to us, giving me and Lima shot glasses as everybody in the section seemingly began throwing them back.

"Hold on, wait for me." I whined playfully as they quickly took their shots and I was still holding onto mine, preparing myself for the taste.

I hadn't drank in forever so I was practically a rookie all over again. 

"Girl, if you don't take that baby ass shot. We got ten more to go." Lima taunted as I held my nose, throwing the shot back and Bi grabbed two more for us.

"Oh my god." I playfully panicked as they laughed at me and passed me another shot.

"Okay, toast." Lima said, holding her shot glass up as Bi and I followed suit, before some of the other girls in the section did the exact same.

"Cheers to my bitch Shanny for finally coming out with us."

"And for finally putting her foot down." Lima said and I smiled wide.

"Yeah, for putting her foot down and her ass too, when she sat down on the dick a few hours ago. You ain't slick, hoe." Bi said, making us burst out laughing and I couldn't help but to do the same as I playfully rolled my eyes.
