𝟷𝟸/𝙷𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙵𝚞𝚗

The next day Peyton and Adam walk to the rink together, they walk in to see Guy, Jesse, and Fulton on a truck on the edge of the ice. The boards were completely destroyed on one side and they could tell they were embarrassed. "What the hell" Peyton muttered. "We're okay" They hear Jesse say. Adam and Peyton ignore them and go to the locker room. "Look who finally showed up" Charlie says. "Peyton and Adam sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" Averman jokes. Peyton rolls her eyes and goes to get changed. After about 20 minutes they all go out onto the ice.  

"This is more crowded than a truckload of goats." Dwayne says. "Somebody better watch their hands!" Julie says. "Yeah, someone licked me!" Averman complains causing Peyton to chuckle. Coach had them all tied together. Peyton had Dwayne on her left, Adam on her right, and Dean in front of her. They all started to smell something. "Oh, I smell something" Guy says. "Goldberg!" They all say in unison. "It wasn't me" He states. "No, it was me" Dean says rather proudly. They all complain and shout. "Thank you" Goldberg says. "I don't know how to make this any clearer. You are a team. And to win this thing, you have to work as one. Now as one, skate." Coach Bombay says while circling around the group. Everyone starts to move their own way causing them all to fall down. "Everyone goes their own way, everyone falls down" Coach Bombay explains. "Now get up and try it again"

"All right, all of you move to your right. Now." Dean says trying to take charge. "Who made you boss?!" Fulton says clearly not having it. "Everyone to the left" The newbies to go the right while the older ducks go to the left. They all fall down again. "You guys can argue all you want, but I'm not untying you until you move as one." Coach says walking away. "How much longer do you think he is gonna keep this up" Adam asks Peyton. "I have no clue, this could go on for hours." Peyton replies.

"Now you're learning! Communication! That's it! Good together. Move together. Charge! All right! Right turn! Yeah, that's it! That's it! All right! Knock wood, Charlie" Coach Bombay exclaims as they all skated as one.

"You guys are starting to look like Hockey players. I'm proud of ya, Team" Coach Bombay says while bending down to grab the rope they had been tied up with before. Peyton noticed how he had tied the knot as if he were trying to catch something. "You worked hard today. But Hockey should also be fun. Rancher Dwayne." Coach Bombay says. "Yes sir!" He replies. "Round me up some stray cattle there" Coach Bombay says while handing Dwayne the rope. They all look at each other and start to scurry around the rink. Peyton skated up to Connie and got behind her. "Hey hot-stuff" Peyton says. "Hey" she replies while chuckling. Peyton had managed to catch Connie off guard, Dwayne came over to them and he caught Connie. Peyton quickly skated away. She went over to Charlie. "Go away Peyton" he says trying not to get caught. "No can do, bro" She says.

Everyone eventually gets out, leaving Luis and Peyton left. "Your going down, Conway" Luis says from across the rink. "You wish, Mendoza" She replies. Dwayne goes over to try and catch Luis. He misses and Luis skates away. Dwayne goes for Peyton and misses once again. Dwayne goes back over to Luis and manages to catch him. "Ha" Peyton says while laughing. "haha very funny, Conway" Luis replies back. Peyton and Luis skate off the ice and join their team on the bench.

"Ta-Da" Tibbles says as he pulls the cover off the cardboard cut-out of a Wheaties box with their faces on it. "Hey y'all. That's us!" Dwayne exclaims. "No, really?!" Peyton says sarcastically. Don clears his throat. "Today it's a Wheaties box. Tomorrow, it's video games, action figures, lunch boxes. The sky is the limit" He explains. Coach Bombay nods his head in approval. "Now just to make sure that everybody knows who you are, try on one of these" Don says while pulling out a jersey. "That's so cool" Connie says. "Brought to you by those wonderful people at Hendrix." Don says. He throws Fulton his jersey. "Everybody take your own, I'm not gonna give em out to everybody" Don says. Peyton notices that Charlie is a little uneasy about the new jerseys and things. Everyone rushed to get their jersey. Peyton grabbed her jersey and her brothers jersey. The one thing Peyton was happy about was that she kept her number.  #𝟡𝟛. She handed her brother his jersey and nodded her head. She walked over to Adam and talked to him. "Hey" She says while walking over to him. "Hey" He replies. "What do you think of the jerseys?" She asks. "Eh, they are all right" He says. "I think they are pretty good looking" she says. "But not as good looking as me" Adam says jokingly. "No, Adam, not as good looking as you" She admits making him smile.
