It has been 2 days since the whole Bombay and Reilly incident, the whole team knows that Adam will now be joining the team and no one is happy about it. Even though everyone was mad at coach we all still went out to eat to celebrate making it to the play-offs, which was actually good because it gave me time to think about how and when I was going to tell Charlie about our father, I decided that I wasn't going to do it this week because I didn't wanna distract him from hockey so I decided to do it after the play-offs and maybe even the championship game.

Today is the day of the play-offs, we are playing the  Cardinals for our very last play off game to see if we can make it to the championship. By this point everyone has warmed up to Adam, surprisingly even Jesse has warmed up to him. Even though everyone is still mad at Bombay for what he said, I think we are all starting to realize that he really was being sarcastic.

We beat the cardinals now all we have to do is beat the Hawks, which isn't gonna be easy. All the players stand in a line while waiting for the national anthem to be over, while we are waiting, the two teams give each other death stares. Finally the national anthem finishes and it's time to play. "Hey Banks. Don't forget what side your on." I can't help but role my eyes at Jesse, Adam really wasn't all that bad, he was actually super kind and sweet. "He's a Duck Jesse, He'll play like a duck." Coach Bombay fires back.

The face-off starts with Adam and McGill, the both give each other death stares. The puck gets dropped and McGill and Adam fight for it but Larson and McGill end up knocking Adam over and taking possession of the puck. At this point we are getting beaten up instead of actually playing hockey. It's back and forth over who has possession of the puck. Adam gets the puck and starts skating down the ice. "Banks, Two coming hard" Charlie yells. The two Hawks players chuck Adam into the wall. "That one had to hurt" Peyton tells Connie who is sitting on the bench with her. "Definitely". Eventually Brown from the Hawks get the puck and fakes causing Goldberg to move the opposite way so he was able to score.

The score is now 1 to 0 Hawks and they can all tell that Adam is hurting. They decide to still let him play though. Peyton had to admit, even though she hadn't known Adam for that long he is kind of already her best friend.

Guy got the puck and is skating down the ice towards the goal, he gets shoved and misses the shot and the Hawks receive the puck again, Goldberg goes out of position allowing McGill to score. "Come on Goldberg" We all say disappointed.

The Hawks have the puck again and they are going down the line, they try to shoot but surprisingly Goldberg saves it. "Big save Goldberg!" "Good job Goldberg!". But of course after that, Brown shoots and scores again leaving the score to be 3 to 0 for now.

In between periods coach gives us a small pep-talk "Don't be scared of them Ducks, that's what they want. Keep you heads up. Play proud. Let's fly! come on , let's go!"

Before we all go back on to the ice Coach Reilly tells Larson and McGill something "I want you to drop Banks like a bad habit, I want him outta the game. Finish him off, You got it?" he asks, "Yeah" McGill replies. After that Charlie gets the puck and passes it to Adam, Adam skates down the ice, but as soon as he crosses the blue line McGill comes from behind and shoves him down. Adam scores. McGill pushed Adam into the net. "Adam? Adam, are you okay? What'd you do?" Larson asked McGill. "My job" He replies. Peyton immediately runs out to Adam, Connie, Guy, and Charlie following. "Adam are you okay" "Adam wake up" "Adam?" we all ask.
