Chapter 52: This long search is OVER

-Mikhaela Garcia’s POV-

This feeling… Napaka-tagal na ng muli ko itong Naramdaman…
“Y-you’re-”
“Mapapatawad pa ba ako ng mahal kong anak? If she ever will, I would be glad to enter her life as her mother.” Saad ni Althena at biglang bumuhos ang kaniyang luha. All I could do, ma-iyak, napa-yakap, and I could feel no strength na bumabalot saaking katawan, since when did I ever felt so weak na wala akong magawa kundi mahulog nalang saaking mga ala ala?
“Althena… Saan ba kayo ni Dad all this time!?”
Oo nga pala, If she’s my mother, Malaki din ang kasalan na nagawa nya. She’s a Gangster in the same time she’s my mother, pero bakit hindi ko iyon napansin? Siguro nga ay mahina ang aking ala ala sa mga mukha, pero…
“All this time you’ve been calling me with my name, nasasaktan ako, anak. I would tell you all of the things I know in this world, but you would complain if I tell you… Do you want to see mikmik first?”
Mikmik…
“Mikheal!? Nasaan sya?!” 
Biglang bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa nito si Killer King while dragging my brother!
“Mikhael!” Tatayo sana ako, but before I could move a leg muscle, my foot gave up.
“Ah, it’s been a while, daughter.” Saad ni Killer King and my eyes widened in surprise. He removed his mask napamilyaran ko agad ang mukha nya! All of this time,, all of this long search,,, SILANG DALAWA LANG PALA ‘YAN?!?! Hindi ko muna pinansin ang dalawa and looked at Khael na bugbog ang buong mukha. Killer King placed him on a bed beside me.
“Anong nangyari sakanya?” gulat kong tanong.
“You should be more concern about yourself dahil binugbog ka ng Anak ng isang demonyo, Mikmik had his time out, he’s such a stubborn kid after all.” Saad ni Killer king. A-Ano daw!?
“Hon, don’t be too hard on her,” ani Althena.
‘hon’? naalala ko din iyon many years ago, my mom would say that to my father when we do something he would dislike.
“Eventually he’ll just wake up in a few minutes, it wont be a big deal, Love.” Saad pa ni Killer king.
Nahihirapan na akong mag adjust, Ano ba ang itatawag ko sakanila? Why the hell do they have to leave us? Why the hell did they tell us that it’s them? Why the hell didn’t I realized na sila pala iyon after a very long time? Why couldn’t I figure that out? And most importantly, WHERE THE HELL DID KHAEL GO AFTER ALL OF THIS?!
“Ella, are you sure you’re ready to know?” Tanong ni Althena saakin.
“Opo!” Sagot ko.
Khael groaned at gumalaw sya.
“Your tita Ariannah is a gangster too.”

HA!??!
“W-what!?” Si Tita- WHAT THE HELL?!
“Isa syang doktora, there’s no way she’s a gangster after all of this!”
“She is… Aira and ate Ariannah are such bestfriends, sila ang unang naka-diskobre ng gangster society, they learned that Gangsters are not all the same, me and your dad had the same though as well, your Tita Ari gave that Idea up dahil gusto nya maging isang kilalang doctor, but I didn’t gave up on my idea until I became an Empress, your dad became a killer, and our other best friend became anonymous, we built GIS for gangster purposes- not knowing it would be a great risk, until I had you and Khael, I’d wanted to give up GIS dahil ika-kamay lang kayo ni mikmik sa panganib, but I found another way, and the way that I found was too foolish. Maliit pa ang organisasyon ng gangsters noon and we couldn’t fight against the local government when they’d tried hunting every gangsters down, hanggang na-wanted kami, you two weren’t safe in my hands, neither your dad’s hands, kailangan namin kayong i-separate ni mikmik, I gave you to your Tita Ari because I trusted her, and I gave mikmik to my best friend whom I also trusted. It’s not easy to leave you two, we loved you, and we were wrong. I’d never been successful as a parent, neither your dad being successful as a father, naiintindihan ko na kung bakit kami laging pinag-sesermonan ni Ate Ari.” Mahabang litanya ni Althena.
Sa puntong iyon, I couldn’t see Althena as a mother of any mother I’d seen, in my eyes, parang isa rin siyang naligaw na ka-edad ko.
“Tch. I should have held back, mali naman iyon. Honestly I couldn’t be more prouder than I am right now, now that you and mikmik are both gangsters, we don’t have to be separated anymore.” Sabi ni Killer King.
“You’re both f*cking way too dramatic. Hindi ako maniniwala sa rason na ibinigay nyo. Real parents would never do that.” Biglang saad ni Khael.
“Khael… don’t you have better things to say? Tapos na ang paghahanap natin!” Sabi ko sa mokong. Atsaka, nagmura sya sa harap ng magulang namin! I just think it’s too disrespectful.
“Ah, you two have been working to find us?” Asked killer king. Alright, I take it back.
“Why the f*ck wouldn’t we be searching? Iniwan nyo kami nang walang paalam.” Madiin kong saad kay Killer king. Pinanliitan nya ako nang mata and smirked. He cant do that! Anak nya ako! Why is he acting like James?!
“All bad things have good reasons. It’s the only choise that was given to us.” Saad ni Althena.
“F*cking NO!, Althena. You could’ve escaped with us, pero mas mahal nyo ang GIS! Doesn’t that prove your big works right now!? Mas inalagaan nyo pa ang GIS kesa saaming dalawa!” Khael hissed.
“Your mouth, son. Wala ba’ng nagturo sa’yo ng maayos na pananalita?”
“Well, you could have taught me a better speech, BUT YOU DIDN’T. Wag na wag kayong magrereklamo kung paano kami lumaki ngayon, you could have raised us, but you’re too foolish to think about it.” Madiing saad ni Khael. Killer king was about to throw a punch on him, but he punched the wall instead.
“Your son is right, pol. Pabayaan mo na silang magalit saatin, they deserve to get mad at us.” Saad ni Althena. Magalit? Why would I be mad? Oo galit ako sa ginawa nila, but not on them. Mas nililibat ako ngayon ng saya because we’re finaly back together, what’s more important than being happy with something that you’ve been longing for? Khael is blinded by his rage.
“You’re right there, Althena. Now I’m getting my ass off and start searching for the mother who raised me. You only caused interference on my mission.” Malamig na saad ni Khael. Althena covered her mouth at bigla syang napa-iyak.
“Kheal! Don’t make a step at bumalik ka!” Sigaw ko. He’s walking away! Normally, fathers would get mad if their son walks away infront of them, pero si Killer king ay mukhang walang pake!
“Why should I, Ella? What does this ‘FAMILY-GET A LONG’ benefit the four of us? Gangsters pa rin tayo and we all have our parts, I have my part and I’ll give all I can to finish my mission. You,,, you should to, finish Kurt before he could finish you himself.” Malamig na saad ni Khael.
Why… Bakit parang ito na ang totoong side ni Khael? After his pretending be-childhood buddies with Kurt and Nate at sya lang pinakamabait sa kanilang tatlo… I just think he’s the coldest among the three of them, I thought Khael was honest when he said hahanapin nya ang mga magulang namin with all his might, but khael right now is differnt!!
Humagulhol si Althena at biglang niyakap si Khael sa likuran. I glanced at Killer king at wala pa rin itong pake, and I would stand up right now para ayusin ang lahat, pero ako lang ata ang sumunod saaking ama, walang kwentang parang walang paki dahil nakaupo lamang.
“Mikmik… Patawarin mo si mommy.. Please…” Althena cried at Nagulat ako dahil lumuhod siya sa sahig while grasping mikhael’s shirt. Mikhael could have said better words, Althena would’ve been crying on the floor right now! Ang sama mo, Khael!
I could feel hot liquids running down my cheeks habang pinapanood ang aking ina begging infront of my brother.
“I could’ve forgiven you long ago, you’re such a b*tch, Althena.” Saad ni Khael.
When he said those, binalutan na agad ng pagka-galit ang dibdib ko kay Khael. I heard a loud slap at itinaas ko ang aking paningin, Killer King slapped Khael!?
“You talk too much, Mikmik. Nawawala ka na sa pwesto mo, hindi ka lalabas sa kwartong ito unless you’d apologize.” Malamig na saad ni Killer King. Khael and him exchanged cold stares at napasabunot naman si Khael saknayang buhok. Khael sat beside me at hindi umimik.
Tinulungang tumayo ni Killer king si althena and he wiped her tears, the two faced us habang nakatayo.
“Kids.. Let’s start over, Please.” Althena said.
Starting over… Ibig sabihin mabubuo na muli kami? Isn’t that what Khael wanted as well!?
“Khael. Don’t you wanted this too?” I asked him and looked at his eyes.
I could see his tenderness on the eyes, yet I could see the rage too.
“You’re right, Ella. Matagal ko nang ginusto na bumalik tayong lahat as a family, but time changes, time flies, I made up my mind, ano naman ang nagawa nila saatin? They only raised us for a couple of years then left us for other people to take care of, those people who took care of us, sila dapat ang kasama, kayakap, kapiling at kahawid natin ngayon. Don’t you feel it too? Mas inalagaan ka pa ni Tita Ariannah ng matagal kesa sakanila. It’s obvious they know our social status at kung ano na ang nangyayari saatin, yet hindi man lang nila tayo pinansin. Tell me I’m wrong, Ellah.” Ani Khael.
Napaisip na rin ako… hindi ko masabing tama si Khael, hindi ko rin masabing mali siya.
“You’re not right neither wrong. Nagkamali sila, I’m pretty sure they’re just trying to fix their mistakes, pasalamat dapat tayong dalawa dahil kahit papano… Binalikan pa rin tayo…” Yeah, instead of Judging people with their mistakes, I think it’s better to dig deeper and forgive them if they are trying to fix their mistakes.
“You two make up your minds, even if we restart our bonds, hindi pa rin tayo pwedeng tumira sa iisang tahanan, nothing is safe, even we are together.” Malamig na sabi ni Killer king.
“Althena, nasaan nga ba kayo nakatira ni Killer king? You watched the scene where Lucifer nearly killed me. Pumunta rin kayo sa California?!”
Actually, Napakarami pang mga bagay ang gusto kong sabihin, I wanted to ask how they met, I wanted to tell them what happened on Russia, I wanted to ask if they are proud about our gang, I wanted to ask how many enemies the GIS actually have, I wanted to talk about the nuclear, gusto kong itanong lahat and tell them everything!
“Codename ko lang ang Althena, my name is Althea Alcantara, diba? Killer king is Apolloh- Garcia. Kahit mom, dad nalang tawag nyo… And about kung saan kami nakatira… we don’t live in a specific place. As a gangster, kailangan mong palipat lipat nang bahay, especially when the location of your missions are numbered, yun lang iyon…”
“and that is why you decided to leave us? Kasi hindi nyo kami kayang isama kung saan man kayo pupunta? You cared so much, I appretiated that.” Sarcastikong sabi ni Khael kaya siniko ko naman ito nang mahina.
“Attaboy, magaling ka din umintindi. Just think about yourself and a younger girl having kids while on a gangster situation, wala kayong magawa kundi labanan kung ano mang panganib ang lumusob sainyo, sa bahay nyo or even when you’re having your vacation or EVEN, even if you tried running away from the danger? Tapos what if a mafia targeted your ‘small-happy-family’ and kill every member of your family, they didn’t kill you because they wanted you to suffer, and then you become a sadist. Would you like that?” Dad said in a mockery tone.
“I would rather not having kids. The kids would get tortured too, anyway.” Sagot ni Khael.
Dad got pissed at pinigilan agad siya ni mom.
“Your father is always short tempered, I know you’re kind-hearted, Mikmik, just… wag mo nang labanan ang dad mo, he might kill you and I might kill him because of it…”
Mom’s gonna kill dad? Ang ironic pakinggan!
I giggled at napatawa nalang din sila.

“Cris, pumasok ka. Your son is here.” Malakas na saad ni dad.
Cris? Who is cris?
The door flung open at nagpakita agad si Anonymous!
Anonymous looked around and nothing seemed to get his interest.
“I don’t see him.” Saad ni anonymous.
Teka, mom said they had ‘ANOTHER’ bestfriend, could it be Anonymous!?
“Lucifer. Lumabas ka.” Saad ni Dad sa ere. Uhm…?
Someone came out of the curtain and my eyes widened when I saw James. WHAT THE HELL?! HE WAS THERE THIS WHOLE TIME?! HINDING HINDI KO KAKALIMUTAN ANG KASALANAN NYA!
Lucifer was unmasked so he’s James.
James walked towards anonymous and threw a punch on his face na ikinagulat ko nang husto.
Anonymous is James’ dad?!!?!
