Chapter 16: Behind Abby's stone Heart

-Abbigail De Castro’s POV-

Natapos na ang new year party and the guests left. I left Josh’s present for me in the Glass table of the Living room at humiga sa couch.
That Dumbass, kelan nya pa ba ako titigilan?!
I sat down at tinignan muli ang ginintuang bracelet. It looks really beautiful tho, but I still don’t like the person who gave it. After all of the evil things he did to me, yung sa VSR Beach- urghhH! I just hate him. I really hate him.
The door flung open at bumungad naman si Evelyn.
“Hey Abby! The campfire is settled.” Sabi nito.
“Nah, I’m good in here.” Sabi ko.
“Are you saying you’re rejecting me beacsue you’re-”
“Fine! I’m coming” sabi ko at hndi ko na sya pinatapos, I know when she started to blabber like that, hndi na iyon magtatapos at baka umabot pa sa puntong umiyak na sya at madamay pa ang mga relasyon and candy stuff. Yeah, she’s the Evelyn we know.
Isinuot ko na ang bracelet at sumama na kay Evelyn, we went to the Backyard and gazed at the campfire. Iilang metro lang ang layo nito sa pool.
“So what’s the campfire about?” tanong ko at tumabi sa seat nina shane.
“Well, it’s new year, pwede naman tayong hindi matulog.” Sabi ni Mika.
“But, what about GIS?” tanong ni Shane.
“bahala na kung ano ang mangyayare bukas, naka-impake na diba kayo?”
“Yes.” Sagot ni Evelyn.
Dumating na sina Cj at James and they were carrying a huge bag of cotton candy.
“Woah. Where’d you get those?” Shane asked.
“Sa kwarto ni Evelyn.” Cj replied. Another thing about evelyn, she keeps too much sugar in her room.
“Here are the bamboo sticks.” Sabi ni Ivan at inabot kay Evelyn ang isang pack ng barbeque sticks.
“What are those for?” tanong ko kay Ivan.
“Are you going to use your hand to burn the mashmellow?” sabi nito. Tss. Isa na rin itong ivan, he’s a total sh*t too.
“Okay. Everything’s ready.” Cj said. Kumuha na kami ng masrhsmellows and started burning it into the fire.
“Let’s talk about food and health.” Panimula ni Shane.
“no offense shane but I don’t agree with that. Let’s talk about candies instead.” Sabi ni Evelyn.
“Dude, ya’ seen josh?” Cj asked Ivan and the latter shrugged his shoulders.
“where is he anyway?” tanong ni James.
“I thought he was here.” Sabi ni Ivan
“Nasa kwarto nya pa siguro.” Added ivan.
What’s wrong with that idiot? Nakukulong? Tss!
“Abby, why don’t you call him?” sabi ni Cj saakin.
“shut up you assh*le!” I hissed. Eh sino ba sya kung maka-utos saakin? Tangina, langya!
“Yeah, Abby. You should call him.” Sabi ni Mika. What the Hell?!
“Ba’t nyo ba ako pinagtritripan?!”
“Woah, no one makes trip on you.” Sabi ni Shane. I flipped my hair. Hmp!
“Inuutusan ka lang naman ng Reyna.” Saad ni Evelyn.
“Yea, he might got offended of what you have said a while ago.” Dagdag pa ni Shane.
“Besides, he liked you. Obvious nga naman na matagal na syang nagkakagusto sa’yo, you should get to him before it’s too late. Because not everyone stays the same forever.” Sabi ni Mika.
“Abby, sana maintindihan mo, but I’m sure you wont like it when he will change, he’s been confessing to you for so long pero binabalewala mo lang ang mga ito. It’s painful, you know? Balang araw ay magbabago rin sya, so go for him before it happens.” Sabi ni Evelyn.
I sighed at tumayo. I’m going up there because
Mika is giving an order, NOTE SAINYO, WALA AKONG PAKE KAY JOSHUA, kahit ano pa man ang sabihin nila. Padabog akong umakyat sa taas at kumatok sa pinto ng kwarto ni Josh.
“Iwan nyo nga ako. Cj. O Ivan.” Rinig kong sabi ni Josh. Tss, nagtampo? Amputa!
“Ako ‘to. The rest wants your face on the campfire. Bumaba ka na dun.” Sabi ko. I waited for a while at bumukas ang pinto. He opened the door a little at mukha nya lang ang ipinakita nya saakin, his hair was very messy at nakatopless pa ito. Tsk! Wala akong pake! Oo sa totoo gwapo nga sya pero wala akong pake! Walang wala!
“You. Leave me alone too.” Sabi nito at isinara ang pinto. Aba! Ang bastos. I kicked the door and it made a loud noise. The Door opened widely at bumungad na ang nakasimangot na mukha ni josh.
“ANo ba ang problema mo? I told you to go away.” Saad nito.
“Tsk. Tinatawag ka na nga nila sa baba!” ka-ilang ulit ko na ba ‘yun sinabi?!
“I don’t care. Just leave.” Malamig na sabi nito and slammed the door close. Tss!
I know he’s going to come down dahil meron ako, so I waited for a while at sumandal sa dingding.
Nag-iilang minuto na ang nakalipas and I still couldnt hear anything from his room. Ano kaya ang problema nya!?
Naiinis na ako! Sinipa ko ang pinto and it opened. Nakadapa lang si Josh sa kama nya and his head was placed on his pillow. Hndi man lang ako nito nilingon.
“Hoy!” tawag ko. Napameywang lang ako at hinintay itong lingunin ako. But he didn’t move.
“Josh!” again, he didn’t listened, mukhang wala lang ata ako sa paningin nya eh. bw*set.
“Josh listen to me! Please!” sarap tuloy sapaken si Josh, pati narin sarili ko, ‘PLEASE’ huh? Kadiri ka abby! Kelan mo pa ba ‘yan ginamit na salita? Yuck!
“Why should i? did you listen to me when I wanted you to?” sabi nito. I felt my body trembled ng pinakawalan nya ang mga salitang iyon. His voice was cold. His aura was undescribable. Hndi ko man lang masasabi kung si Joshua pa ba ang kausap ko. He stood up at hinarap ako.
“S-sorry…” I looked down. Sinadya kong humingi ng paumanhin at akala kong magiging okay na muli sya.
“Sorry? Kakaiba ka kung magsalita. Why don’t you just enjoy your life without me? Yun naman diba ang gusto mo? Masaya ka naman diba nung hndi mo ako nakilala?” Naramdaman ko agad ang panlalamig ng mga buto ng aking katawan. Why is he like this? It felt like he’s a total different person from the Joshua that I’ve talked with yesterday. Maybe.. ito na ang sinasabi nila?
“Josh, I’m sorry because of what I said kanina, okay? Just forgive me and we’ll get better.” Sabi ko.
“Tsss… Get better? Sino ka kung magsalita? Forgive you? Sino ka ba, Abbigail De Castro? Hindi kita kilala, actually. Hindi kita pinapatawad, kaya iwan mo na ako.” Sabi nito. When he said those, natakot agad ako. Why do I feel this? Josh is nothing for me, pero hindi ko gusto ang ganito nyang side, his funny side is way better than this, so why did he turned like this?!
“N-no, I gotta be honest, I’ve always liked you. Hndi ko lang kayang sabihin, and I’m sorry for all I’ve done to you.” Please, god, make this lie a happiness for him. Sana bumalik na sya sa dating kilala ko na Josh, I’m very uncomfortable right now!
“Tsk. Your skills at deceiving people are quite outstanding, Queen Eris, but Neither a Queen can cool off a burning Flame.” Sabi nito. His left shouler hit my right shoulder at nilagpasan lang ako nito.
Sa mga minuto na hndi ko nabantayang lumipas, the seconds that I didn’t notice had passed, and all I noticed was the verge of my eyes formed some tears. I sat on the floor at pinabayaang bumuhos ang aking mga luha. I don’t like him at all, so why do I felt this bullsh*t pain?! Ano bang ginawa ko sakanya to have such a painful consequences?!

A loud thunder rumbled in the sky at Nagulat naman kami nina Evelyn.
“Shet!” I screamed. Ang itim na kalangitan ay naging Peach-Orange ang kulay, at mahinang pagbuhos ng ulan ang aming nadatnan.
“Damn, what a bad timing.” Komento ni Cj. Nilinis na agad nila ang mga bote ng alak at cellophane ng marshmallows.
“Teka, Abby isn’t back?” tanong ni Shane.
“yeah, where Is she?” Evelyn asked.
“Talk about her later, tulungan nyo muna kami sa tarpaulin ng pool!” Ivan said. The wind was blowing faster and the fire went out. Tumulong naman agad kami sa pag-cover ng 35-meter wided pool at nagmadaling pumasok sa loob ng mansion. Just in time that the rain dropped heavily.
“That was close!” komento ni Evelyn.
“Nakakainis naman. We where having such a peaceful time.” Cj pouted.
“Yeah, such a killer of the joy.” James commented.
“Alas dos na ng umaga, I still have 7 hours to sleep kung gigising ako ng alas otso mamaya.” Sabi ni shane at tumalikod. That would be great! In that case hindi na ako magmumukhang puyat mamaya!
“Where’s Abby tho?” Pagpapaalala ni Evelyn.
“She’s probably at Josh’s room?” I guessed.
“What will she be doing in his room?” tanong ni Evelyn.
“baka okay na sila and decided to sleep together?” Cj added.
“That’s not abbigail, you assh*le!” Evelyn hissed.
“What? I’m not being dirty!” Cj said.
“Kahit na! Abby always dislikes to sleep with guys.” Crossed arms na sabi ni Evelyn.
“But she’s a whore, isn’t she?” Cj asked.
“Oo but she had her Good sides, she never likes to sleep with anyone else.” The two argued at iniwan na namin sila sa harap ng pinto. Papunta na sana ako sa sarili kong kwarto when I noticed James walking beside me, nakapamulsa lang ito and was making no expression.
“o? san ka papunta?” tanong ko sa mokong.
“on your room, ofcourse.” Pasimple nitong sagot. I was about to punch him on the arm ng umilag agad sya. “You’re prohibited in my room, jerk!” I hissed.
“why am I prohibited in the room of the girl who is sooner to share room with me?” he pouted and I felt my cheeks blushed. Eto nanaman! Where is he getting such line?!
“I don’t know what you’re saying. May sarili kang kwarto, baka tirahan pa yun ng engkanto, sleep there.” I said.
“I really like the way you’re trying to scare me with childhood creeps.” He smirked. I rolled my eyes at huminga ng malalim, this dude is so awful that I want to flush him the toilet, therefore I could never see his annoying face again.
Pumasok na ako saaking kwarto and looked at james who was still outside,
“What?” sabi nito.
“papasok ka ba o hindi?” I was about to slam the door shut ng pumasok agad ang mokong.
“So…” panimula ko. I took off my shoes at isinabit ito sa rack, but when I turned around, I was shock to see when we was stripping.
“Yeah?” He replied at umupo sa gilid ng aking kama. I gulped at lumapit sakanya.
“By any chance, nagustuhan mo ba si Riass?” Bigla kong tanong. Teka, how did I ever managed to ask that stupid question?!
James gave his sexy smile and held my right shoulder.
“You’re too innocent to ask that question, but since you’ve asked it already, I’m going to be honest. I don’t.” Bulong ni James.
“Eh!? Then why did you-? Hindi kita maintindihan. If you don’t like her then you should have dumped her earlier.” I pouted. This isn’t what I was expecting that he was going to say.
“Well. She did put on too much effort on trying to deceive me, I pity her so pinabayaan ko nalang sya na gawin ang gusto niya.” James replied.
“Pity her? Bakit?”
“She’s uh- Abandoned by her parents.” Sagot ni James. Napakunot naman ang noo ko. Ano raw?
“Bakit?” tanong ko muli.
“Dunnow. But I know that her parents sold her to a secret organization, her parents didn’t seemed to like her. Well I know she’s a spy, kelangan nya ring mag-ipon ng barya, so I dumped her when I got you and gave her a case of coins.” Pasimpleng sabi ni James. I knew james wasn’t lying, but what he meant by ‘COINS and BARYA’ is BILLS. Kaya pala biglaang lumiit ang amount ng Cash sa Bank account ni James huh?  “Nuh Uh, no time to relax, Mr. Sigurado akong hindi ka na pagkakatiwalaan ni tita aira if she founds out that you’re throwing your money like it’s a piece of paper. She did worked hard for those.” I crossed my arms at hinarap si James ng maayos. He is spoiled, really really spoiled.
“Tss. My mom doesn’t have to work, she did have enough money to live before she pass away.” Pabayang sabi ni James. What the Hell?! How come he can say that to his very own mother?!
“You really are a Devil. I wonder why your mom still loves you and worries for you after all of your cruelty to her.”
“Tsk, I should be the one who’s worrying for her, there might be a time that my d- Her husband shows up and abduct her.” Seryusong sabi ni James.
“Abduct her? Is your father an Alien?” pabiro kong sabi.
“A Gangster.” James replied and I almost got choked by my own saliva. What the Heck!?
