Chapter 53: Hot

I saw James alone on the balcony kaya lumapit ako sakanya at sinuntok ang kaniyang pisnge. It made a satisfying hit sound so I shook my fist.
“You nearly killed me.” Madiin kong saad sakanya.
“But I didn’t.” sabi nito.
“Kahit na! you gave my face a lot of bruises at masakit kapag nagsasalita ako! You cared nothing more than Victory!” I hissed at him.
“No I don’t. hindi nga kita pinatay, I even pretended to the public you’re dead, but you’re not.”
“ArghhH! Where’s your gang?! Hindi pa ako nakakabawi kay Ivan who resisted my foot from kicking you! You’re so unfair! I needed to punch Joshua too! Pati na rin si Cj! Naiinis ako!” I shouted.
“Don’t you had enough?” James calmly asked.
“Enough!? What do you mean ‘ENOUGH’!?”
“Shane nearly killed my Ace. Evelyn did this.” Sabi ni James at tinanggal ang benda na nakapalupot sakanyang leeg. A huge and deep scratch marked James’ neck.
“You threatened me. It’s not on my command if any of them harmed you. I wanted revenge myself!”
I’m right! James did not show any mercy nung binugbog nya ako! I even lost a couple of teeth at napakasakit pa nang ilong ko!
“Then your Queens avenged for you. Kasalanan ko ba’ng mahina ka that you lost the battle? You would say the same thing if we had the opposite situation.”
James’ speech made a lot of sense kaya nainis ako nang sobra. How can I tell him na mali pa rin ang ginawa nya?!
“Anyway! Kumusta na kayo ng papa mo!?” wala ako sa mood para mag-ayos sakanya ngayon!
“Dunnow.” Sagot nito.
“Eh, kayo ni Khael!?”
“Idk. He’s mad.”
“Pwede ba’ng umayos ka!?” Kelan nya ba ako sasagutin ng maayos!?
“Can you f*cking stop yelling? You’re ruining my ear drums.”

“Kelan kaya tayo babalik sa Pilipinas??” I just need to make up a topic na hindi labas sa linya, that’s all!
“Dunnow. Ask your parents.”
“Answer me nang maayos sabi eh!”
I pinched his side, nakakagigil kasi!
“Nag aayos kaya ako, do you think I know when we’re going back?!” iritadong sabi ni James.

Pumunta kami sa dining Area kung saan nag-uusap usap ang three stars, kailangan naming sawsawin ang usapan because we needed to know kung kalian ba kami pwedeng umuwi.
“Eventually, lilipat nanaman sila ng estasyon.”
“Why don’t you just tell me the latest coordinates?”
“The Alps? Sige mag imbistiga ka doon.”
“F*cking no.”
“We’ll just figure out their next station, isn’t that quite easy?”
“No. You know what? Siguro this mission is better off my own.”
“Cris, don’t underestimate this organization, they’re the biggest among all of them.”
“Don’t need to pity me, Thea.”
“You don’t trust us anymore huh? Nasobraan lang ata yang pagka-anonymous mo.”

Alright I take it back, siguro James and I needed to ditch outta here bago pa kami ma-skewer ng tatlong ‘to and they might think we’re here to listen to their chat. I grabbed james arm at hihilahin ko na sana sya palabas doon, but unfortunately, James walked infront of the Three na parang walang takot!
“Excuse me?”
“Step aside, boy.”
“When are we allowed to go back?” Mataas-taasang tanong ni James.
“Go back where, Son?”
“Don’t be a fool, old man. Aren’t you going to pay a visit to Aira’s death?” hinarap ni James ang ama nya and I gulped. Geez! Iba na talaga ang tension nila! Dark vs Dark, Masungit vs Masungit, pa-epal vs pa-epal! Nakakatakot titigan.
“Her death is over, she’s in a better place now. And mind you, Son. There’s no funeral for your mother because her body was not found. Half of her death is your responsibility, hindi ba dapat kayo ang papatay sa bomba?” malamig na saad ni uncle Cris.
Nang sinabi niya iyon, I immediately felt the guilt. Oo nga pala, we didn’t stop the bomb dahil ang tagal naming gumalaw!
“Isn’t it your responsibility as well? You gave the orders, you know what will happen, you asked her to join this Gangster foolishness! Hindi ba trabaho nyong hintuin ang mga kaaway? And then you gave us the responsibilities and blame us for the result! That f*cking annoys me.” James hissed at his father.
That made sense!
Natahimik si Uncle cris, but what surprised us is when he punched James in a light speed.
Natabing ang mukha ni James on the left at kitang kita ang marka ng suntok and his lower lip bled.
“You Joined us, don’t you forget that. Ano man ang responsibilidad nang ibang gangsters, responsibilidad mo na rin. They don’t care, you don’t care, it’s only a matter of time when you realized your mistakes, so f*cking wake up.” Madiing saad ng ama ni James kay James.
Nakayukom ang kamao ni James at ramdam na ramdam ko ang galit nya sa atmosphere, I went to him and pulled him out infront of the three.
“Pumunta lang kami dito para magtanong kung kelan pwede bumalik sa pinas.” Saad ko sa tatlo. Gosh, this is quite embarrassing.
“You can go home, not quite sooner.” Sagot ni mom.
“and tell them to stop by at Egypt.” Bulong ni Dad but we all heard it.
“Oo nga pala, another assignment for your Gangs.” Ani mom and stood up.
Another assignment? Meaning another mission na naman?!
“We have a loquacious foe in Egypt, their exact location is in the middle of the Eygyptian dessert, malapit sa mga pyramids and giant statues ng mga panginoon nila, their hide out is just under a pyramid. You need to retrieve our informations from them, o burahin ang bawat sulok ng impormasyon na ninakaw nila mula saatin. They have a lot of spies that Spied across all the gangsters that we held, but we already terminated their spies, so magiging madali nalang ang misyon nyo. What they do is gather our information and sell them to a high bidding, In the worst case, they’re getting what they want kapalit ng impormasyon ng GIS. Remove all the information and atleast kill the one who runs their dirty business.” Mahabang litanya ni mom. Nagbebenta ng impormasyon? That’s ridiculous.
“Sino naman ang gustong kumuha ng impormasyon ng GIS?” I asked.
“No one knows, maybe anyone who hates us most, or maybe it could be our greatest enemy. But all you should do is stop them from giving information, kapag nakalipat na sila ng kahit kaunting impormasyon para sa kahit sino, the world of gangsters might run in conflict.” Ani mom.
“That’s a big responsibility you gave, Thea.  Doubt they could finish it clean or doubt them in the end.” Ani uncle Cris. He’s right, ANG LAKI ng RESPONSIBILIDAD NA IBIBIGAY NILA SAAMIN! DON’T TELL ME JUST BECAUSE WE’RE THE THREE STAR’S KIDS PANINIWALAAN NA AGAD KAMI NILA! We’re still gangsters!
“Not a big deal, Cris. If they fail it, they’ll have to worry about themselves too.” Sabi ni mom. Grabe naman!
“Anyway… Kayong dalawa, what’s the special connection between the two of you?” Tanong ni Dad out of the blue and my eyes widened. Should I tell them na boyfriend ko si James? It’s impossible they don’t know, but it’s possible that they know. Pero kahit na! James’ dad is here, both of my parents are here- ano man ang i-ja-judge nila!
“Uhm.. We’re allies?”
Mika! You liar!
“Haha don’t tell me you can give us some grand children, eh?” saad pa ni dad and I felt my cheeks burning. Shet naman! Why’d they bring up this conversation!?
“Grand children? Gusto ko ng mga apo!” Mom squealed and I ducked my head. Gaahhh! They wanted Grandchildren pero di man lang kami naalagaan noon!
“I wouldn’t be happy about it.” Malamig na saad ni uncle cris.
“Bakit naman? Doesn’t it sound cute? Your son and my daughter? Ang cute!” Mom squealed. Nakakahiya na. Especially I’d have to assist James’ weight dahil nagtatamad nanaman sya!
“I cant raise neither a child, neither my son.” Sagot nito.
Bigla namang nawala ang bigat ni James saaking balikat.
“Don’t ever compare me to your f*cking self, Cris John. You cant raise me, neither accepted me neither cared about me, but I’m more capable of those things than you are, I accepted you as my father kahit ganito ang social status natin, but don’t ever say I’m not capable of taking care of a child like you do.” Saad ni James and dragged me outside. ‘Capable of taking care’ he say? Baka pakainin nya pa ng bala ang anak nya. BUT THIS DOESN’T MEAN I’M READY TO BUILD MY FUTURE WITH HIM!
Gosh! Ano sya?! Sinuswerte!? We’re only together right now dahil sa simula, but making children? Jesus! Maayos na lalake lang sana para alagaan ang mga anak namin.

We headed off without telling Khael kung saan kami papunta, though he left on his own too ng walang paalam. The stars had a mission of their own too kaya hindi na kami na tagal sa California.
Dad owned a huge garage of 20 Airplanes, swerte kami dahil yung ipinag-kaloob saakin ni Dad is yung pinaka latest super high tech airliner. He also said that this should be the future transportation vehicle of GIS which can hold up to 40 passengers. Cool diba!? And we’re only 8 passengers right now.
“Queen, hindi ka ba talaga mag-oover react?” Paulit ulit na tanong ni Abby.
“Overreact why nga?”
“I mean, ilang taon mo din hindi nakita ang mga magulang mo, like probably 16 years? Tapos ganito lang ang reaksyon mo. This is so not like you.” Ani Abby.
“So not like me? Ano naman pala ang ine-expect mo na magiging reaksyon ko?”
“You would scream, you would be parang tarantada, you wouldn’t sleep for a couple of days, what else is the personalities of mika when she found something unexpected. Hm…” Ani Evelyn.
Tarantada? And why would I scream? Uh…
“Yeah, I guess evelyn said it all.” Abby.
“At least our Queen is maturing in some cases. Anyway, mas nainlove pa ako sa bagong transportation natin!” Nakangiting saad ni Shane. I made her drive the plane kasi baka sirain lang ito ng Phantom Gang. They don’t really care about things anyway.
“Hey, Snow white with a long hair! Ivan here said you should check out the map, lalagpasan mo na ang destinasyon!” Sigaw ni Cj mula sa likod. I peaked at the back at binatukan naman ni Ivan si Cj.
“Told you not to mention my name!”
Shane checked the displayed digital map at oo nga, looks like we’re here.
Pumunta naman ako sa likod to announce my plan.
“Someone’s staying behind to pilot aircraft. Di rin pwede tayong lahat ang pumunta doon, we’ll get spotted.” Sabi ko. Uh… I don’t think that’s a plan either.
“I’ll stay behind, aalagaan ko nang maayos ito.” Shane winked.
“I’ll go down, sinong sasama?” sabi ko pa.
“Me!” Evelyn.
“Ako rin.” Abby.
“You’ll die without me, which leaves me no choice. I’ll go too.” Ani James. Aba! Ang kapal pa nang mukha oh!
“me as well.” Ani Cj.
“Ace Thanatos, aren’t you two coming?” Tanong ni James kina Ivan at Josh.
“Nah… We’ll stay behind.”
Nag madali na kaming pumunta sa likod and took our chutes.
Sabi ni Shane ay nasa 5.5 kilometers kami from the ground, I guess this is going to be a long fall.
James jumped off first kaya sumunod naman agad ako and the rest followed too.
The wind went against my body and I maintained my arms open and my legs separated, hindi ko man mahagilap nang maayos, but the Pyramids starts to get closer by seconds.
James opened his parachute kaya sinunod ko din ang ginawa nya. Our expectations were too far and we did not landed on the sand, my body slammed against the hard and hot pyramid at gaya din saiba, nahampas din sila sa gitnang pyramid which was the largest among three. We slid down terribly and it seemed like evely was the only one who was enjoying the slide.
I landed on the sand with my butt at nagpagpag agad ako. James reached out his hand to me as if he was begging me to help him up.
“Tumayo ka nga sa sarili mo. Tse! Tamad.” I said and unbuckled the parachute.
“Ohh Jesus! That was fun!” Evelyn exclaimed.
“R-remind me not to jump from the air again.” Ani Abby while holding her stomach at bigla nalang syang nasuka!
“Abby! Are you okay!?”
“Geez she’s fine, she’s just throwing up.”
“Ayos lang ako.”
