"Funny..." Newt says, admiring the view of the last city. "We've spent 3 years trapped behind walls, and now we're trying to break back in."

"Yeah... it's hilarious..." Frypan says, making me laugh.

The view is amazing, from where we it are overlooks the city and the gigantic walls surrounding it. I can't help but think of Minho, how we're gonna see him again so soon. But like Jorge said, we can't get our hopes up.

"Jorge, how do we get in?" Thomas asks from beside me, keeping his gaze at the city.

Jorge shakes his head. "Don't look at me, hermano. Those walls are new. I guess that's WICKED's answer for everything."

"Well," Brenda starts after a moment. "We ain't gonna figure it out from up here." She turns and walks back towards the car. "Let's go!"

I turn around and pat Thomas on the shoulder before walking into the car. Newt and Thomas are still standing outside, not taking their eyes off the city. If I could look at it all day, I would. I've never seen anything like it that I can remember. And it's not just the view that fascinates me. It's the fact that this is the last standing piece of humanity. A real city, not scorched.

I blink out of my thoughts when Newt shuts the door. "You all right?" He asks me.

I nod and smile in return.

God, his voice. I think. I don't think he'll ever understand what his voice does to me.
I furrow my eyebrows at my own thought, questioning it. But I quickly shake it off.

~~~
To my surprise it only takes a couple minutes to drive to the bottom of the hill and to the bustling crowd.
"Grab your things," Jorge tells us but more specifically me. "We're leaving the car here, who knows when we'll be back. Oh and uh, keep a low profile."
I nod and secure my backpack onto my back. This backpack is my only possession, no way in hell am I leaving it, nor loosing it.
We get out of the car, which is parked in an alleyway of two buildings. Or should I say what left of two buildings.
I glance around the area which is packed tightly with people. Most of the people look the same, shaggy clothes, tired eyes. Makes me wonder if these people are infected.
"Teddy come on!" I turn over to see my friends already ahead.
"Coming!" I call as I start jogging through the huge crowd to catch up.
I walk beside Brenda who has put her hood up when I hear someone speaking into a megaphone. "Where is that coming fr—"
Before I can finish my sentence Brenda grabs my arm and pulls me to the side and I see why seconds later.
Two trucks come gliding through the area clearing people and making a path. I notice a man speaking into a megaphone sitting on the hood of the truck along with a couple other men sitting on the roof. Large masks cover their face completely.
"They hide behind their walls thinking they can keep the cure for themselves, while they watch the rest of us whiter and rot!"
"What the hell..." I whisper to no one in particular. The man continues to speak, but once they pass us completely I can barely make out his words, only hearing the people yelping and cheering.
When the truck passes finally we continue walking. I make sure to stay as close as possible, getting lost in here is more than possible.
Minutes pass as we continue to walk when Thomas says over the loud crowd, "that's it. That's out way in."
