" There are two kinds of guilt, the kind that drowns you till your useless, and the kind that fires your soul to purpose" ~ Sabaa Tahir
Izuku's heart is the only thing he can currently hear in the small hallway of Katsuki's childhood home as he stares in disbelief at the person he wasn't sure he'd ever see up close again.
He's wide eyed, deep green eyes glassy with tears as he takes a step forward a nickname on the tip of his tongue rolling off with an emotional crack at the end.
" K-Kacchan?" , he ask tho the answer is standing only inches away now.
Kacchan. The name enters Katsuki's ears and rolls around inside his brain, a name given to him so many years ago by a green eyed little boy who to this day is the only one who will ever have permission to use it.
The blonde stands frozen in his doorway, he's here to see exactly who's now slowly closing the distance between them but as his eyes lock onto that beautiful deep green sea he hasn't had the pleasure of seeing up close in over four years he's stilled not knowing quite what to do as emotions began to run through him.
Izuku is suddenly now standing right in front of him. A look on his features like he's seeing some kind of ghost that he can't believe could possibly be real. The name slips from his lips again.
" Kacchan?"
Katsuki takes a deep breath forcing himself to fucking say something and not stand here like an idiot.
" Hi Deku" ,he finally says even though theres probably a million things he wants to spill out after it and he has an overwhelming desire to hug this nerd in front of him but he doesn't, he stands still letting Izuku stand almost chest to chest and study him instead.
Izuku eyes go wide again as he stares into Katsuki's face.
Suddenly, very suddenly the greenett breaks into a long string of quick ramblings.
" Oh my god Kacchan, are you hurt??! Where is it, let me see it! Is it here? Turn around is it on your back??! Was it a villain attack??! I didn't see anything on the news!" , he asked frantically as he grips the blondes tshirt lifting it up shocking Katsuki as the greenett checks for injuries all over.
" Deku..what the fuck?!"
It's like Izuku didn't even hear him as he continues rambling mutters.
" I don't see anything. Oh god, is it internal?! Let me see my news feed, so I know what we're dealing with"
Katsuki stares in his own disbelief now as the greenett pulls his phone out.
" Deku, I'm not fucking hurt...I.."
He's cut off.
" Oh. Oh oh no! It is Auntie Or Uncle??! Are they sick??!! I mean I haven't been around for a week or two but mom hasn't said anything and Auntie looks great, but is it something serious!?!"
Katsuki furrows his brows at the rambling greenett.
" Christ Deku no...it's "
He's cut off once again as Izuku is now pacing the hallway in front of him.
" Is it Kirishima??! Denki, Sero??! I mean I don't think so, I actually saw Kirishima this morning and he looked fine, gave me a hug and everything but I haven't seen Sero in a few days ..oh my lord is it Sero??! Kacchan tell me right now!"
Katsuki shakes his head in disbelief his eyes narrowed as he steps up to the greenett making the pacing stop.
" For fucks sakes Deku will you shut up a minute! What the hell are you even rambling about here?!" , Katsuki says not sure why this nerd just spilled word vomit all over the hall.
