" The truth is like the sun, you can shut it out for awhile, but it ain't going away" ~ Elvis Presley
It had been a few days since Mina's birthday get together and a few days since Katsuki spent the hours after the party with Izuku.
The blonde was currently standing in the kitchen of his childhood home chugging a bottle of water leaning back on the counter after his morning run.
His mind had been going over the events of the time he had spent with Deku at his apartment after the party.
They had talked, but not necessarily about everything they needed to, they didn't touch on anything too deep even tho the blonde knew they needed to.
He replays the slow dance with the green eyed hero over and over again in his mind, if he had it his way he would have made that dance last all night and even when he had whispered to Izuku that there was so much he didn't know the greenett in his arms hadn't seemed to want to break the spell of the dance to question it and only held onto Katsuki tighter.
A dark thought suddenly intrudes the a firey heros thoughts. A deep scowl forms as Shoto's words play like a broken record in his mind.
He hardly slept the past few nights with those damn words burning like an iron in the back of his brain.
Crimson eyes are burning with a mixture of pain and anger when his mothers voice breaks in.
" Brat, you alright over there?", she questioned bringing in groceries seeing a distant look on her son's face.
He met her gaze.
" Tch, yeah I'm fine Hag." , he answered as he started to help her put things away.
She knows him well and knows that look well too, it means his mind is on a greenett she loves just as much as she knows her son always has.
" I just saw Izuku" , she said while she put away things in the cabinet.
Katsuki stopped what he was doing and turned to see her.
" Yeah, where?" , he asked trying not to sound to desperate for the answer even though he was curious instantly.
" Right down the street. He's at Inko's. He looks good. He was working out" , she said trying to hold back her own smirk seeing her son flush slightly at the thought of the hero working out.
Crimson eyes drifted off with thoughts of Izuku working out, sure he's worked out with Deku in that past, but that was highschool and this is fucking now and Izuku definitely didn't look then like he does now. A subconscious canine was being dug into his lip as his mind shifts to another kind of workout he wouldn't mind having with that nerd.
" What's on your mind over there Katsuki?" , Mitsuki ask her son with a smirk to rival his own.
The blonde snapped from his sinful thoughts meeting the smirking eyes of his mother.
He cleared his throat as he shoved a bag of rice in the cabinet.
" Nothing."
" Uh huh, I bet. ' Nothing ' will be at his mother's for the day just in case you're interested. He asked me what you were doing today." , she grinned.
He rolled his eyes deciding it was time to leave this conversation and kitchen and maybe walk a few houses down and pay that shitty nerd a visit.
He shoved his hands in the pockets of his black track pants walking to the front door.
" I'll be back later" , he mumbled to his mom as he stepped through the door.
She grinned knowing exactly where he was headed.
